I think everyone is missing the whole point. Not everyone knows who Typhoid Mary was, many just know she was a disease carrier. Dominicans certainly don’t know of her.

What he’s asking is…….was there ever a person like her in DR who spread a disease all over? Like the Europeans brought smallpox centuries ago. I’m pretty sure what he’s looking for doesn’t exist. He was looking for an analogy to use with a Dominican, but he’s not going to find one IMO.
Typhoid no.
However when it comes to HIV...100%
Buyer aka Weekend Warriors who travel down here to places like Sosua seeking prostitutes.. BEWARE!

Blue Collar Town in New Jersey
I think she was in a VAN , Wearing a MASK During the COVID Roundups ...
At least I hope they got her ..

I think I know what the OP was trying to do here .. it took me a long while tho.
The "farming" thing threw me off a little .

QUESTION:
What does knowing whether or not there is a parallel in the DR to America's so called "Typhoid Mary"
have to do with limited knowledge of DR culture and history???
AE nailed it. No points for some.
I didn't want to make a joke without knowing where I was standing. (with the one whose feelings for which I was concerned)
Gawd, lamento; not even fathomable to me where all this has gone.
But I did find out about engagement farming and somebody on here has a Sosua fetish.
I operate some tractors in another part of my life but somehow farming engagements just doesn't fit.
Don't forget: Blue skies and green lights to all!

Over 20 years, I drank tap water many times, brushed my teeth with tap water and bathed with regular city water. No typhoid, but I did just have to have my gallbladder removed.

nb: I do not recommend drinking tap water
Enjoy this:
Evidently, lobsters drink the tap water too; ate part of one at Casa Mora in SD and had diarrhea for eleven days and 3500 miles after.

El Hijo de Manolo

It's outrageous, egregious, preposterous!

You didn't get sick from the lobster compadre. You got sick because there's no running water or soap in the employee bathroom
