Thank you. One last question did you have your proof of vaccine in English were you vaccinated in the DR or Canada?
Proof of Vaccination was only in English with the Provincial Health Authority letterhead. It was just a screen shot with the dates and vaccine type.

I was vaccinated in Canada.

I would be curious to see the numerical drop in tourism from Canada.
The restrictive rules certainly don't envision a relaxing beach vacation getaway
It was annoying and somewhat cumbersome the first time, getting my E-ticket, Vaxx record, PCR test, and ArriveCan all filled out and completed.
In addition to packing, planning, arranging all the usual travel stuff. In addition to traveling alone with an overnight hotel layover in YYZ and twin 4 year olds.
Resorts provided the PCR test, so the AI crowd likely had Pedro from Sunwing holding their hand through each step as well as explaining it for the 17th time to those hungover or still not quite sober.
I had to wait an hour in a crowded Amadita for my number to come up only to find out from Yulenis that my results wouldn’t be ready for 5 days. Tell her that’s no good, walk a block up the street to Referencia, be in and out in 15 minutes to get what I needed.
But if I had to do it again, it would be somewhat less annoying and cumbersome. I would complain about it, but all the new red tape is the new reality whether we like it or not.
My husband returns via PUJ today and was delayed for 2 hours by an antimasker who was eventually removed by security. Now he has a layover because he missed his connection.

So actually the 4 year olds were kind of the easy part for me.

Looking for an answer for someone in the Dominican.

They are Canadian.

They have now had 2 Pfizer shots, both in the Dominican.

To return to Canada, and avoid a 14 day quarantine, it is my understanding that the vaccination card must be translated into English.

Question 1, is this correct (translation of vaccination card) ?

Question 2, If the answer to question 1 is correct, where would you get this translated?

I have heard of people who have not had their vaccine card translated and were allowed to pass through Canadian immigration. But the rules do state that the vaccine card must be translated so I have heard of others who were asked to show and upload the translation to ArriveCan. Probably best if you want to avoid a potential setback to have a translation in English or French. English is probably best unless your person is entering via Montreal but both languages are acceptable anywhere. Where to get this done depends on where you are located. Most notaries or lawyers can get this accomplished for you. I have heard the average price is around $RD 1500.00 and takes about a day to get done. Since I am in Sosua, I only know about a local source for this kind of work - the notary office above Mateo's restaurant on Pedro Clisante.
