Only country in the world that thinks these things will actually reduce the speed. For those who want to speed, be it a car/truck or moto, they're just going to speed over, and for others, they are going to slow down to almost 0 which will irritate those who want to speed, and they'll be impatient and do some crazy stuff and possibly cause an accident.
I don't like any of the forms of speed bumps on a MAYOR road, the only thing that they have caused is an increase in fuel consumption.

Tough to put speed bumps on entering or exiting a Jetblu flight JFK-SDQ.

In the traffic circle where the Coral Highway ends in Punta Cana, as soon it was open to the public it began to be well known for the accidents which were common. Almost all of them consisted of drivers reaching the end of the highway and the traffic circle didn't slow down enough to avoid a collision once they arrive at the traffic circle. This was despite there are signs warning that the highway is coming to an end and speeds must be reduced. A while later the government added several the speed bumps of the small circle types that you will find in many tolls that create a noise as you pass over them, essentially awaking a driver that is too sleepy to be behind the wheel and causing people to slow down. The frequency of accidents in that traffic circle was reduced once they were put in place.

I also remember when Juan Pablo II highway was inaugurated. It was designed up to the highest standards of highway construction and not enough time passed after it was open to the public for accidents to be a common thing there. Speed was (and is) a major contributor since that road is hardly dangerous.
