Our school's two main medical programs-medicine and estomatology (dentistry)- are based on the modular theory of education promoted by the University of Chicago, Harvard and a couple more places, as well as the WHO. The main thrust is prevention and preservation, and surgery as an option. The dentists try to save the tooth, rather than yank it out. It has been shown to be better medicine in the long run. What distinguishes our graduates is that they have so much practical experience by the time they graduate that they are not "feeling there way around" so to speak. You can imagine, if Ken, one of the most forthright posters on this board speaks for his person, just how good he/she must be.....(Besides the fact that she came thru my class, too!! ehehe)
