Honestly, let's see if B6 can compete with Spirit. AA and Delta were not able to handle it because even with the same or lower fares, most of the passengers preferred Spirit instead.
Quick note about FLL: It is probably the least convenient airport in terms of flight connections. The Immigration area is very uncomfortable and it gets packed when 2 flights arrive at the same time, and then, having to walk from Terminal 4 to another terminal, and then going to the slow FLL TSA security points makes it even worse (specially on weekends, when a lot of cruise passengers are returning home).
I guess I'll stick with MIA
