Zinc is also a major component of the cocktail. The news article referenced in my post states that the Veterans Administration trial used azithromycin in combination with the HCQ. It didn't help.
Thank you for what you post, for being the voice of reason.
All the armchair, uncredentialed "experts" are shameful and even dangerous.
I really don't want to have to block people but...It just may be the answer to the stupidity
This controversy began with post #2070 which specifically references HCQ as "a cure". From there it got amplified by other posters insisting that that it was accepted science that HCI is effective in fighting Covid-19. They cited the fact that the Dominican Republic had purchased 50,000 doses of the drug to use on all their Covid-19 cases as proof positive. Post #2208 had a video from a snake oil salesman attesting to the efficacy of HCQ in fighting Covid-19. Post #2219 insisted that "doctors in the U.S. were having very good results with HCQ" without citing any data to back up that statement. Post #2253 stated that HCQ had been approved by the FDA as an effective treatment for Covid--19 when in fact the FDA has never approved HCQ for that purpose but instead simply allowed the use of HCQ on an experimental basis which simply means that doctors who decide to prescribe it could no longer be criminally prosecuted. Post #2261 quoted some Hasidic doctor who claimed to have 100 percent success in curing 350 patients with Covid-19 by using HCQ. Post #2264 stated that "thousands of doctors agree that HCQ is the best treatment for patients with Covid-19 " without offering any supporting data. Should I continue with more examples of misinformation?

It is working all over the planet in a very large majority of cases..

True. There is *some* immunity for *some* viruses, both self-immunization and vaccines. Many viruses lay dormant, like some herpes and shingles viruses, triggered by the host's chemical responses.FYI . There is no cure for virus's . So dont catch a cold or herpes, other wise you will be treating the symptoms like the rest of the 5.5 billion peeps on the planet. Different people find relief from different treatments. At least thats what the CDC says.
Don't know the odds but I do know that people make mistkes and they also like to "pile on" making similar mistakes. Theres "any number" of flawed studies and many times similar conclusions, flawed or not, are reached in seemingly unrelated studies. There was a time when "doctors" did not believe in "germs" and they were ALL wrong lolThe USC study for LA County came to the same conclusions as the Stanford study did for Santa Clara county.
What are the odds that both studies by prestigious institutes are equally flawed?
Have any universities in Hamilton done any better studies, "House?"
Allow me to bring you up to speed. There is no cure for virus's. So dont catch a cold or herpes.

So in other words, you cannot offer any "scientific" information how these two different studies from two different respected institutions can both arrive at the same incorrect conclusion, other than you don't like their results.Don't know the odds but I do know that people make mistkes and they also like to "pile on" making similar mistakes. Just as a curious minor point of reference, "House", the only time I have used "rage google" is in Off Topic, a forum you have never had access to.You'll have to dig up your own results, if you can. I'm not your research assistant. A quick"google rage" as you luv to call it would illuminate things for you.
"I" make no such claims and of course you cannot justifiably either. Purposely trying to "put words in peoples mouths", spinning and twisting others posts is really at the low end of the scale for "debate" yet it's most of your "toolkit".So in other words, you cannot offer any "scientific" information how these two different studies from two different respected institutions can both arrive at the same incorrect conclusion, other than you don't like their results.
Nor can you offer any documented critique on how this can happen.
Understood.
Has McMaster University done a similar study?

So how do you know that I "luv" to use it?
Very curious, indeed...

What have you done to contribute to the battle against Covid-19 'HouseSeems to me that there was much recent news about the university there making strides in the battle against C-19. What have you done?![]()

And certainly not since your registration date.

The initial "we're all gonna die" hysteria was similarly not couched in facts.Nothing wrong with a conversation that includes opinions provided that the poster doesn't couch their opinions as proven facts.
Case in point - unsubstantiated opinion(s) presented as fact.
