DAME LUZ ! And KLK

It seems like Dominicans feel much better when using slangs as oppose To proper Spanish , I go out of my way to always give a proper and respectful greetings at almost every place I walk into including BUT not limited to colmadones , comedores , banca , fritura , colmado , barber shops , hookah lounges , etc etc …. However when I give them a proper “saludos , buenas tardes OR “ buenos dia , como les AMANESE “ OR a “ good evening “ OR “saludos , como están todos ustedes” it’s usually follow by them replying back DAME LUZ ! , KLK , MÓNTAME , DAME LO REAL DATOS , MANSO , KE LO KENTUCKY , ….. this really annoys me , I feel like grabbing them by the shoulders and yell what it’s wrong with you ! WAKE UP WAKE UP !


Anyways , just wanted to know if y’all experiencing this type of behavior as well

I will , I was just hanging with the “help” cause they basically the people I interact the most given the fact that they served me daily and I could tell them to show me around … BUT I will start looking for people of my own status

You should write down a list of things you enjoy doing and do them with like minded folks. Seeing hows you come across as someone with zero street smarts, I would avoid the late nights and vice related activities (especially down in Capital) if I were you.

Lately as soos as I read thread's title I know if it's a Rey thread or not 🤣 This guy Rey, whoever he is, is running this board into the ground with his BS threads. The mods should put a cap on how many threads a user can create in a single week.

He's grammar is either that of a mildly illiterate person or someone who thinks it's cool to write like a gangsta.
Then here he even cares how other people addresses him?

Just wrap your head around this, your not in Texas anymore, and people have the right to talk the way they want..

Que lo Que, shortened to KLK means what's up. I hear this as a greeting quite often.

Gospel. Every time he asks where he can find a whore house or talk about last night hook-up with two or three ladies, he not only cheapens himself but the integrity of our board. I do not fault the mods at all. They zap his posts out faster than a video game and besides that, this is a open forum board. HOWEVER... all groups, partnerships, clubs, chat boards, have ways to separate the wheat from the chaff. Members of all groups that I mentioned are accountable in some way. Just bc he wants to look like a fool that DOESN'T mean we need to share the light with him.
IDK...the answer for now, but surely there must be a way to stop this nonsense.
