Male in late 30s here, my wife being 3 years younger than me... I have to mostly disagree with the OP as well, as the fact is, that practically always my wife's family has in fact had way more financial resources than me. They have been entrepreneurs for decades. My FIL even lent us money a decade ago as we were so broke that we could not even rent an apartment (I paid that back very promptly as I'm obviously not irresponsible, but still...). Obviously, that has changed radically.
But: I think in the DR it's also a cultural thing, as the male paying for stuff is a thing you would do in Latam countries, in EU not so much. Regardless, even when we where still novios, I paid for everything. But, there is a difference between asking for money and the male paying the tab, I think...
@El Hijo de Manolo must be in time out...there is no way he would be able to resist making a comment!I like nothing more than putting on a short skirt and high heels and I love male attention.
I must say I have discovered a newfound respect for you and your posts (#11), having said that, the poster hit a home run. So much so that he has a standing offer for a J.Walker Blue, double, and yes, I am a sexist male chauvinist. I do have a weakness for a chica that has spent an evening preparing herself to be my evening arm candy. As such, she gets the royal treatment, fine restaurant, after dinner cocktails and a spa day whenever she wants.I agree. The biggest source of arguments between me and my partner is that he says he can't stand having a woman support him, he says paying for everything is part of being a man. I think guys like the control it gives them over their partner to be the one who is paying.

First thought that came to my mind as well, but I did not want to be the First " old Creeper" to ask , LOLPics?

Ha... My wife used to wear semi high heels, emphasis on used to... She hates them... When we were going out, she would only wear them in the car while going to where we were going... Once we got out, she would take her comfortable regular shoes without heels out of the purse, put those on and off we'd go... That made zero sense but who am I to criticize...That's another thing. Dominican women always go for ridiculously high heels that they can't walk in. Looks stupid. If you are going to wear heels, you have to be able to walk in them and look like a goddess. End.
"Most 40 year old woman have kids here in the U.S..", just replace the 40 with an 18 for the DRI've seen read some posts of others getting flamed or ridiculed for posting about their relationship experience here or asking for advice when the topic of "she asked for money" get's written. First let me say, all woman, no matter what country you live in, want something from a man. It could be her looking for someone to live with, someone to move in with her and help share her bills within her house, getting taken out to fancy restaurants.. The list goes on and on. I also lived most of my life in the NYC area, Washington Heights, Queens NY, so I am very familiar with the Dominican culture. Asking for support is semi-normal, especially hair and nail money and no not all of them do it, some ask sooner than others and others may never ask because they are to independent and prideful (not because they don't want gifts, money or help, they all want that)...
As someone in his 40's, previously married for 12 years (to a Dominican woman I met in NYC) and dated and experienced plenty, I can say with some certainty, unless your in your 20's or early 30's at most, the dating pool for quality gets smaller and smaller as you move up in age. Most 40 year old woman have kids here in the U.S.. The ones that don't is often a red flag (unless they have some sort of fertility issue), and as I already said, they all WANT something from a man.
With that said, don't run from a woman because she asked you for money, especially if she is a piece of eye candy in her mid to late 20's.. Because at the end of the day, all woman want something, and if I'm providing any kind of support, I'd rather do it for eye candy, over a woman in her 40's with a few kids that looks worn and out of shape Just be careful providing support and use common sense, ask for receipts if you want to verify, meet her family, do your due diligence...and have fun, you may end up being surprised.
Went swimming in the river Saturday with my wife and a female friend. This Dominican woman is 52 and was wearing a bikini. Very fit and tighter body than most 20-year-olds. Doesn't go to the gym but does yoga and bikes with her son.Ready to take the Heat ! I'm here for almost 20 years now and have plenty of long time and short time relationship experience.
YES, guayaba79 is right ! For the dominican women that might read that, no insult but yes in general you gal's are a major headache !!!
So if somebody can choose between a 40+ Headache and a 20+ Headache, i know what to choose. Lady's i don't have to tell you this but the DR is not a
very favorable place for "aging women". Live is tough !... Get a Helmet !!! (Candace Owens)
Generally true, but companionship is important too.Since we're speaking in the most archaic and sexist tropes, men only want one thing.
I disagree.Since we're speaking in the most archaic and sexist tropes, men only want one thing.
