I'm on the Keto diet to try and prevent type II diabetes... i.e. the low carb/high fat diet..

Can someone recommend where on earth can I find UNSWEETENED, full fat yogurt?
Searched through my local (SD) Bravo, Sirena AND La Cadena and all the brands had added sugar... a worker said they don't stock unsweetened yogurt cause those don't sell as much...

Only brand of unsweetened yogurt I could find was 0% fat yogurt... but no full fat, unsweetened yogurt in sight... the good ole plain yogurt from the farm that hasn't been processed ya know...

Don't know if this helps....... I gave up on finding plain yogurt.
Depending on how you were planning to consume it, I use sour cream instead ( for dips, and salad sauces, etc ...).

Yoka has a plain yogurt. It's the only I've found here but it's 0 fat. I get it in Nacional. I want the kind with the cream on the top like I used to get in USA but have never found here. I use plain yogurt on bakes potatoes instead of sour cream and I love it on rice too. If you find full cream let me know.

I have bought plain Greek yogurt, thick like soft cream cheese, from the Lupa cheese store on highway #5 in Sabaneta de Yasica. It is beautiful stuff, I can't imagine it is not full fat. Makes the best Tzatziki sauce for the Lamb/Beef gyros I make!

My sister-in-law asked me to bring down a yogurt maker for this very reason. She’s a happy camper now. Maybe buy one on eBay or Amazon if you don’t have anyone coming down. They’re very easy to use.

Several places in Jarabacoa make plain yogurt. It has a label on the lid, sin azucar.

I was going to suggest this. I've been making my own greek yoghurt for years and love it. Perhaps a little bit time consuming, but I'd rather have my own.
