Is there any dentists that do implants in puerto plata?
Yes. Fredy Lepe, Calle Duarte 75 (809 586 6666)

I have used him from time to time over the past 12 years for minor work, excellent service. Good English.

It is a group practice and his colleagues each have their own specialties.

Surgery recently modernized (again) and all the latest technology.

He has just quoted me RD$12,500 for one root canal, one post, and ancillary work.

As we say often here about Medical Tourism -

Today's DR1

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Demand for medical tourism services on the rise
Alejandro Cambiaso of the Dominican Association of Medical Tourism says that the number of tourists coming for medical services in the Dominican Republic is on the rise. He says the services most in demand are surgery, dental implants and orthopedic treatments. Surgery services include esthetic and plastic surgery, dental treatments, fertility procedures, bariatric surgery, among others.

Cambiaso said that companies offering the wellness and medical services report increases of 15% in demand for these from tourists. Cambiaso estimates at 25,000 to 30,000 the international tourists that came in 2017 to take advantage of high-quality health care at a good price. He said 80% of those coming for medical tourism travel are accompanied.

Medical centers catering to tourists are primarily located in Santiago, Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.

They are all over... almost like traveling dentists.
The specialists are in SD one day - STI another -east coast another.

Any good clinic will pull one in.

Get your man/woman & then find out when/where they work

What about pain medicine. I'll never take that Eflecanac stuff or whatever it's called. Can a person get a few tablets of actual post surgical pain medicine?
