I have had the poison.... but the dogs lived

My Malinois/Shepherd went blind suddenly...... I always wonder......

Where did your Malinois/ Shepherd come from?

I'll never dare to own a dog here, most people in this society have no souls and are just plain disrespectful of pets.

I actually disagree to some extent. My workers have dogs and love them and treat them with the utmost respect. Sometimes, all that is needed is a little education!

Where did your Malinois/ Shepherd come from?

near Sos/Cab..... they had a litter.... years ago

They gave the female 'the pill' but she never came back into heat after it
Just excellent dogs.....

I had bad luck..... the male died in neutering.... allergic to the pre anesthetic
Then the female went blind - yrs later -

The reason I asked is because, Belgian couple, Peter and Hilde, rented here with theiir dogs back from October 2010 - February 2011 and their prize possession, Acira, (a Belgian Malinois) gave birth to beautful puppies fathered by my German Shepherd, Alfie!

Yes, they appeared to be big dog people which is why I was so surprised when they moved back to Belgium and left all their dogs behind. He cooked almost every day whilst he stayed here. They eventually split up and, sadly, Peter died from his long term illnesses.

Sad Dog Story

I am finally able to write this..... hopefully a bit of a catharsis for me. We have had a difficult time over the past 3-4 months with our dogs. Some may recall that I posted about a very nice litter of German/Belgian Shepherd crosses in Sosua last Jan/Feb..... we bought a brother and sister...

His Crohn's disease had worsened before he left here but he did come back for a holiday but he already looked very ill at that point. Such a nice guy. Getting the dogs here initially was one thing but, obviously getting them back there was another!

Sure agree.

Mine was just a blanket statement, there are always exception to the rules but man, plenty of dogs here go through painful lives.

He looked terrible last I saw him

They have come a long way w/ Crohn's since then.....
