I wouldn't have thought that would be viable from the UK. The cost of shipping would probably outweigh any savings on buying one here. And then if you have to convert it to left hand drive it would be very expensive. On old cars it wasn't so difficult but modern cars are so much more complicated.

Yes, you're probably right, but it was a nice thought while it briefly lasted to be able to bring my car with me. No worries though. Quite happy to buy another one in DR.
