Not to steal the thread, but can a person on temporary residency go direct to citizenship without first going to permanent residency if they are married to a Dominican? I could have went directly to permanent residency under the current rules.

It lists all the requirements for the application for citizenship by a man married to a Dominicana. One of the requirements is a copy of a provisional residency with at least six months of validity remaining. So, no need for permanent residence before applying for citizenship.

On the Visa applications, question #20 is Name of person who will accompany you.

Whose name is supposed to go there? Does that person have to be present in your home country when you are submitting the visa application?
