Are you really trying to tell me that Dominican men justify having multiple partners because their women cheat ?

I mean it is quite commonplace for a Dominican woman to stray and the macho Dominican doesn't want to be the one with egg on his face when his novia has started putting it around and it becomes common knowledge. To be perfectly honest a lot of the guys I know are single but pay for a girl as and when they want to, usually after a hard days drinking!
I am not justifying anything but they are what they are, I am afraid.

This is an interesting and amusing thread but I keep asking myself, do all these people live in the same country I do, the DR? Dominicans with foreigners makes for some great conversation but that is what, 1/10 of 1% of the couples in the country? These folks, I don't know much about. But Dominican couples- of course the men cheat more than the women. Everyone who can afford an amante has one. Not true for the women. They cheat much less and tacidly accept their man's unfaithfulness as long as he abides by the rules- those being, be subtle and NEVER let me or my friends hear about it or see it. I live in the campo and here, family rules and long time couples are the norm, not the exception. So my answer would be, on the world scale of infidelity, las dominicanas are not so bad. K

From what I have seen, Dominican Women who "cheat" don't do so nearly as often as their Men who "cheat" but when they do they do it BIG. This probably isn't a strictly Dominican phenomenon either. Having come up in a time and place where African American culture and Boricua culture merged until they were nearly indistinguishable, I have come to expect certain actions and reactions to be attributable to Latin American cultures and my travels have reinforced these observations.
When I state that the Women tend to "cheat" less often but on a larger scale I meant that she is more likely to confine her "cheating" to a single, alternative partner with whom she will share feelings on an emotional level to which few "cheating" Men will commit, even the "cheating" Men that these "cheating" Women are "cheating" with. Only a Latin Woman has ever asked me "My husband goes out at night with his friends and comes back at 3 in the morning smelling like he just showered. Do you think he's cheating?" while undressing to have sex with me.
When the Men cheat, it's usually for different reasons. He can be perfectly satisfied with his wife sexually and otherwise and the only compelling reason for having sex outside the marriage is that it reinforces his manhood (probably only Men will understand this) and the act is more likely than not to serve as just a bodily function as he will return home to his Woman the same as he left (except for that 'bodily function', of course). When the Woman cheats there's usually more than her libido involved. Men are programmed to "get lucky". Women don't "get lucky", they decide what they're going to do and with whom they're going to do it as soon as the "why" is firmly established and that "why" is usually the result of something the husband did or did not do, she will determine when.
Many Men have experienced and tried to describe the volatility and passionate nature of Latin Women with more success than I possibly could and this is particularly descriptive of Dominican Women but there is just as much passion and volatility which occurs under the surface and the expression of that undercurrent of emotion is saved for release at the time and place of her choosing and usually with someone she feels very comfortable with. The Man she's thinking about when her husband is busy thinking about or talking about something or someone other than her.
so...what caliber of women do you guys hang with? im afraid to even guess. those who get all their views on a countries women by what they know of those who sell themselves...well yeah. i'd say you are saying the truth...about THOSE particular women.

Well, in previous threads, two of the posters have bragged about all the women they score with while in the DR. They even post photos of their conquests. Both posters are foreigners, and they show us Dominicans "how to do it."

Contrary to your opinion I do feel qualified to make observations based upon my experiences and an observation based on relationships both experienced and observed has absolutely nothing to do with any P4P scenario so please get your panties unbunched.

I agree, because I think there are a few of us who are living along the lines "Actions speak louder than words". You watch the people with whom you associate, what they say of themselves and what they do respectfully and then you draw a conclusion on what kind of person you have come to know.
