Here comes the typical dr1 trolling.
What you meant to say is any post that doesn’t fit your model is classified as trolling

I heard that one before but it usually starts with " I hope they dont deport my Mother in Law......... etc etc"
LMFAO
That’s a good one. I wonder why mother’s in law always take the heat? Many are good people. They are wonderful people. Some say they are the best people.

I hope it works out with the deportations and that you are all happy with the results. We will see how it affects Dominicans and the DR.

So it has been considered. It wasn't so far out then. Seems reasonable they should go back to their country of origin to start that process. That would at least be an option for someone who wants to try and do the right thing.

The reality is, there is no way that millions of illegal immigrants can realistically be deported using just the current methods.

Respectfully,

Exactly. Case in point is my Haitian kid here illegally (not now, but hopefully Saturday). He's a prisoner in the house. He has to drive with the windows up to avoid detection. He always carries a few 1000 pesos for bribes. This is no way to live and hopefully we're gone soon.
There are plenty of Haitians up here in the Cabarete/Sosua area but really haven't heard of any massive round ups here(?).I was just down in the Callejon barrio today. Several Haitians on the sidewalks with small grills selling food and your typical Haitian women walking around freely selling clothes(?).

The great DR Haitian deportation operation is one of the biggest scams perpetrated on the Dominican people in the history of man

When I was in Santiago a couple of weeks ago I remarked to my Haitian friend that the women selling things on the street of Calle Del Sol don't seem phased by Migracion. He told me that Migracion doesn't go for the women.

Why the back and forth on this thread? Obsessed with DR1, that does make me laugh, many are, that is why we keep posting..lol. Back to the topic, I wonder if Dominicans are that worried about being deported. I always got the sense that the mentality of many was "if they send me back, they send me back".

Believe what you want. I'm sticking with baloney. The fact that they're from Delaware tells me all I need to know.
No, that is not necessary. Meemselle is just saying/posting what she was told. There is NO reason to be insulting. You do not know what happened nor do I. But I do know that with these issues (deportations) people are nervous, do not want to be involved, etc...so anything is possible.

I didn't say anything insulting to her. She can believe it if she wants to. I choose not to.

Most have the plan of returning some day anyways so it just might be expedited.
