DR in Final 15 Miss Universe

I don't like Ms.Dominicana's dress.....a little hoochy like, all the other ladies look so classy.
DavidZ sadly agree with you, because of her beauty because she did not give a good answer to her question.
I think Miss DR is the most naturally beautiful of them all, and she answered her question really well. She has my vote.
yes...but I agree with M.A.R. - her dress is a little inappropriate...There was a kind of a hush in the crowd when she came out...and she got the least applause (during the evening gown portion).
Yes I agree, about her dress. But the judges judged it in the 90s. I like Columbias dress the most.

I watched it too and enjoyed the show as it was professionally produced and choreographed. Must say I had 4 of the last 5 correct though my preference would have been Australia rather than Russia. Thought it was definately between Venezuela, Columbia and DR and they could have been placed in any order and I would not have disagreed. Well done to our Miss Dominican Republic anyway - 3rd out of 80 finalists is a great achievement.

I can guaratee you that 2003 will not be the last. Specially now that Febles is running the show. They are making sure that they send contestants that are worthy.
DR has gotten to the top 5 very often after 2003
Plus you can't always win them all, when it comes to beauty contests DR is among the top winners.
Miss DR always do good in other contests such as Miss Tropical, Miss Ambar, Miss World, Miss Earth and Miss Cafe.
Just watch DR come much stronger next year.

Miss DR answered her question in Spanish(when she knows English) Both Venezuela and Colombia answered in English. Perhaps this was enough to lower her to #3. She has a very sensuous walk.
I didn't know that she spoke English, but as soon as I heard her answer in Spanish, I thought that she had no chance to win.
Maybe not you or me but these contestants and their countries do. Specially when it enhances their individual portfolios and selfesteem.
She did her job, she did it well and she makes the country proud.
It is true that she probably wore the wrong dress and should've spoken english
but we are not living in a perfect world.
I would not be so sure about that.
Plus making 2nd 3rd 4th and even 5th IMO is better than nothing at all because it gives hope and lets their organizers know that they did a very good job.
I think Miss Dominican Republic is beautiful and handled herself very well. Think about it, she was competitive up to the last minute and had a real chance of winning. I agree that maybe the fact that she answered the question in Spanish may have influenced the judges. Anyway, finishing #3 out of 80 other beautiful ladies is an impressive accomplishment.
