Yesterday went off at about 10.30, came back sometime early in the morning hours. More than 24 hours.
This morning at 9.00 no juice - still no juice.
Yes, the blackouts are getting longer and more frequent just 6 minutes out of Cabarete. I've noticed this from about the beginning of July - just progressively worse. Longer and more frequent.
We've also received our first electricity bill ANM. A cool RD$15,310.37 for three months. It never exceeded RD$1,800 per month at the most BNM.
ANM = after new meter..
BNM = before new meter..
In the mean time - we are running the generator for longer and longer hours. So, in my dumb reasoning - more generator consumption = less Edenorte consumption.
But in Ede Norte's reasoning - New Meter = Bigger Bill --- and More Generator = Bigger Bill.
We're seriously getting off this grid now. At these prices, in one fell swoop it has become economically viable.
