Im glad you are ok after all... on a lighter note, now your pazola looks like it belongs in DR (no longer a gringa) no headlights and is banged up. smile.
Does anyone know if you can "join" the "Casa de los Conductores" separate from your car insurance? I travel to the DR about 6 times a year and always rent a car. It would be nice to have the extra 'protection' as part of my travelers insurance, etc...
