When did this requirement from the airlines start to enter the DR?
1st of September, but I was asked about it the 31st of August, both in Spain and here. It is super easy to do on the computer (less than 5 minutes) and the airline provided a link in their last e-mail reminder. I downloaded the pdf-file to an online drive but I also took a photo on my phone of the screen with the QR code. And yeah then did not find the pdf right away lol so instead I showed the photo, no problems. I do not think it is a bad thing, easy, and save time.

Yes, super easy. Did it on my laptop, took pix and sent to my email. Knew where it was immediately because dated two days before. Fool proof. Reminder, you ONLY need for customs as immigration has it in their data..

I was not asking about the ETicket, re read the quote above my question about being asked for a vaccination certificate and a negative PCR to enter the DR.

The only place I was asked to show the E ticket was right before the exit to the taxis/car rental area in PUJ. There was a woman with a scanner. Many people walked past without having to stop.
They also handed out paper customs forms as per “the old days” on the flight.

So much for the END of the paper forms. And so much for enforcement of the E Ticket. Coming into the DR it is NOT enforced and leaving if you "have no cell phone" it is also NOT enforced..............................

It is enforced by American and a couple other airlines. Today is only day 4. All airlines will be enforcing it soon. One hundred people were denied boarding the other day, not including PUJ. I'd say that's enforcement.

An E-Ticket link was added on the Immigration part of the website for the Punta Cana International Airport.

At the moment, only Air Canada, Westjet, and Sunwing have direct flights from Toronto to Punta Cana. If anyone is that desperate before flying with them, they can contact them and ask about the e-ticket to enter the DR.

Ok, sorry. yes they asked about the Covidmania, but no negative PCR test needed for me since I had the vaccine cards (two dosis pfizers). I remember they asked in Spain while entering the airport, actually do not remember if they asked at SDQ.

Here's a report from another site... refusal to board
==========================================

Here is a first hand story. Myself and girlfriend were going to POP this past May. You could do the e-ticket, known as a QR code, or you could get the paper immigration form on the plane of when you land from immigration personnel. We went to check in with American that morning and were refused boarding because we did not have the QR code, and agent did not know the rules. Missed flight, huge mess with plans, lots of extra time and money spent, letters to American Airlines, etc. Went two days later to STI, without the help of American Airlines, thank you very much. Best to just do the QR code prior to leaving, and there is also another one for departing the DR, but they don't really look at the departure one much.

HDR: I never asked you a question about something you posted in this thread. I asked you to re read the quote above my question to Auryn,

Auryn post..
Auryn:
Boarding YYZ to PUJ, the gate agent called everyone up to show proof of both vaccinations or a negative Covid test to enter the DR...
I asked about the E Ticket, she had no idea. I sat down, boarded a bit later, and was not asked for anything.
My husband was not asked for anything on Tuesday.
People went past me and exited to the taxi stand in PUJ without being stopped. I was stopped and an agent scanned my E ticket.
My question concerning an gate agent asking for proof of both vaccination or a Covid test...

Auryn response...
Auryn:
It was pointless, but I was asked again in PUJ. See my post right before this one.
