It is still on here SOSU101 in Perla Marina as of 13:00 Wednesday 19th April.Power off at 12:00 noon with return about 6:00 PM according to Edenorte in Cabarete and probably Sosua.

Not restricted to the north. They don't always know or tell the truth.
Was off for about 20 minutes on CABT102. On for now. Driving back from a gig last night I noticed the La Colonia section of Cabarete was off, but the rest of the circuit was on.Another typical Edenorte day here in Cabarete: on-off-on-off-on-off-on-off
Sounds like they should get it right in a year or 2. Practice, practice, practice.Power has been off all afternoon on the eastside of Cabarete. Edenorte had two trucks and workers putting up new high voltage lines between the propane gas station and Cabarete. This is the same 1/4 mile stretch of highway where they have been putting in the same lines for a year now.
Cavok, it's the summer time racket! We're getting outages here in Cabrera like gang busters. Not only that, the voltage drops dramatically between the hours of 6pm and 1am. You hear all kinds of Dominican excuses, like everyone is home from work or the lines are dry because of no rain, but I guess it's the Jedi mind trick. They bleed us of voltage quality and cut the grids, but the light bill shows up the same or more. How long does it take the avg. human to figure it out 🤣Power just went out again on the eastside of Cabarete. It was also out in the Callejon last night. Probably out there again tonight, too.
Here in Cabarete, 24 is the number of times the power goes out every 7 days(24/7).
Ruff duty when it's been so frigging hot and you can't run your ACPower just went out again on the eastside of Cabarete. It was also out in the Callejon last night. Probably out there again tonight, too.

Adding here the craziest of all: the voltage drop causes the appliances to work harder for the same amps or end result so we end up consuming more kw! The mafia is real bruh
You forgot education. I would put that way over safety. Not important for tourists of course, but essential for the country's development. It must be confusing for new comers reading these pages. On the one hand it is reported continuously that the DR wealth is bounding ahead much faster than nearly every other country in the Caribbean and South and Central America But on the other hand there is a continuous lack of the three essential necessities of living, electricity, water and safety . It has been the same for years and no Government does hardly a thing about it.....
and the best is the Ede's don't care how many appliances they burn out! You’re lucky they still work. When our voltage drops too low some things won’t run, like our cistern water pump and GE washer won’t spin. And that’s with a whole house voltage regulator (which obviously needs repair or replacement).
