I agree. Regardless of CAPITALIZATION and colorful type, if your personal opinion has not been or cannot be supported by fact and generally a link to a reliable, more or less neutral, factual site then it's no better than public masturbation. I can live without seeing it reading that and I bet that most people ranthoneous tend to agree. there's far too much ranthoneous behavior here LOL

Regardless of your opinion and how correct you may think you are, you don't have the right to keep repeating it and trying to force it on others. Nor to mock and people because you think they should agree with you and do it faster 😆

At least that's how it is in my circles and generally in polite society. The same goes for all the insults. I was lead to believe that this was verboten on DR1. I can only wish it was true and that things will get cleaned up and those who keep perpetuating these bits of poor behavior will be suitability dealt with and not merely chastised. I will of course leave that to the moderators, as we all should.
Pathetic, right?

Well, what would Luis "have to do with it?"? The players are: FBI, Interpol, the US Embassy on both sides, international law firms that are licensed to deal in both countries, insurers. EC, we are a litigious society. The buck doesn't stop at Luis door...
Yes it does. Nothing happens in DR government without his say so. He continues to be the biggest promoter of the DR AI tourist industry. That’s where he came from and that’s probably what he will be retuning too at the end of his Presidency. He will do anything and everything to ensure the growth of DR tourism. We’ve seen it in his previous administration and we’re still seeing it. Development occurs at a fast pace despite power and water infrastructure problems, environmental problems, traffic and population density problems. How do you think that’s happening? Without his help? I highly doubt it.

Puerto Rico, being a US protectorate would give Riibe, a US citizen, legal rights he didn’t have in the DR. The passport glitch was a problem created by the US Embassy in the DR. I never doubted his return to the US once he lifted off Dominican soil. The delay in PR was a bureaucratic delay. Nothing more.
Not that it makes any difference in the case, but another report(I think here on DR1) reported the HSI said there was no problem with his passport but rather he would be staying overnight in SJU so they could analyze his phone in coordination with DR authorities. Just pointing out how often the media can't get it facts right. Also, he supposedly left SJU on Thursday but wasn't reported in Iowa until Saturday. Long overnight stay?

Riibe did not have his phone; it was not returned to him just as his passport was not returned. I think that info was in some of the articles when he departed the DR and/or arrived in PR. Yes, authorities in PR were to be helping analyze the phone, but I think that's happening at a later time (maybe has begun but nothing to do with him being delayed in PR)

So you are ALSO saying his Phone was not Returned to him .. Correct ?

And the Passport was a NEW Passport , not the Original ..

So lets say we agree on that as Fact.
Why would the Authorities not return his phone yet.. in fact they may not return it at all . or at a much later time as you state.

Can you Cite ONE Shred of PROOF , or even an Article that this young Woman in the OCEAN ..
ONE single Item of Proof .
And no, the last person to see her does not count .
Especially since even HE admits that he did not see her getting washed out to Sea..
He passed out , remember . and she was stumbling around in knee deep water .

Also did he volunteer for a Polygraph test ?
( I would even be satisfied if he PASSED the Polygraph Question that he last saw her in the water, walking)

In fact his Lawyer should have even directed him to do it .

But right now this guy is not even sure if he is going back to School, back to his Life.
All of you who are crowing that this Case is SOLVED ?
U cant be serious.
Nobody is CROWING that the case is solved. Many are simply saying that the investigation has or will quickly be closed down. If something comes to light at a later date, it will be resumed.

Correct, he did not get his phone back, nor did he get his original passport back. TBH, I would think they had plenty of time to look through his phone, not sure how much more they would need to analyze. I doubt he cares one bit about the loss of his phone though.

And , IMHO, His Phone may actually prove him to be Innocent .
Cuz If he were guilty of something, I would think even a country boy like him would have enough sense to at least throw it into the Ocean.
You can not hide any Movements , and certainly cannot hide Searches on the phone.

In the end he could be just a Slow kid who had a terrible Vacation and terrible bad luck .
Hers however was much worse tho .

I have a proposition just for you. One year is the cutoff. If at this point or before ,if ANY charge in ANY Country in the World is lodged against Riibe including a Civil suit I have to pay 1,000 rd to every poster in this thread. Not per post, but 1,000 rd. If NO charge of any kind is filed one year from now YOU pay 1,000 rd to every poster on this thread.

Now where I come from “Money Talks and Shxx Walks"…………This is an offer you can’t refuse…………
Either way, I'll have an extra 1000 for beer a year from today if y'all do it! :)

Roaming around the World
It's sad that people can't let go, have to be right and have the last word. This thread is about a tragedy and most of the posts in it have not been helpful. Lots of armchair Sherlocks who were mostly wrong. Many not even close. I understand human nature and also that activity is essential to a business but it's time to close the thread until there's a need for a factual update. All this bickering makes the whole site and business look bad. I know I'm done with it.

He's a senior in college...not sure why you chose to say that. And, to be the devil's advocate, I don't see how his phone can prove innocence. He could have just left it on a beach chair while he did something bad...the phone not moving proves nothing. His phone could shed doubts or it could lend credence to his story, but not likely to prove anything,

He has the appearance of someone slow but if he is taking the land surveyor degree outlined by Hijo, he is definitely not slow. No common sense when it comes to alcohol consumption but definitely not slow. I’ve done geology and hydro geology courses. Not easy.

Maybe not. I don't know which news report is correct, only that one said Riibe would be spending the night the night in SJU while his phone was being analyzed.

Someone else just mentioned in a previous comment or it was in the Article that he is not sure if he is going back to School
I did not make it up
Is College Over after Spring Break ? Maybe he meant he does not know if he will finish his last year now .

Check your OWN post # 1270.. You quoted AE's Link

I merely skimmed the Article and saw it ..
Surprised you Quoted it and did not even read it

" The Iowa college senior named as a person of interest in the disappearance of missing Pitt student Sudiksha Konanki finally returned home Saturday — but it’s not clear when he’ll head back to school after what his mom called “a really sad situation.”
