I have driven in Boston, SD, and Santiago.
Although Boston has its challenges, including an inscrutable system of one-way streets and illogical driving routes, I found that at least the streets are in very good condition and well marked, the laws are consistent and equally enforced, and, aside from rush-hour, traffic moves fairly smoothly.
Those conditions do not exist in SD or Santiago, although the traffic in Santiago is more manageable than in SD, in my opinion.
