The pergola after about three months. The vines were scraggly and mostly on the ground when I started the project. Some vines have grown more than eight feet in the three months. More vines trained on wires on the backside of the house and above the path from the street. I expect more blossoms and fruit once I start pinching back the ends

The main vines go on wires with side vines on the ribbons. I figure a couple months for the second pergola to fill in.

Ever since this thread started I have been trying to invent a joke about not knowing chit from Chinola.
So this is about the best i can do in that direction, sorry.

I have two Auyama vines on top of the chinola. Just started a Tayota which I'm going to have for shade over the roof. That quarter mile of fence wire I brought down has been very handy. I'll bring down a mile next time if the weight isn't too much. Mi esposa's sister wants me to put up wires for her chinola now too. I half killed it pulling it out of the tree it was in, but it's recovered now.

Over forty blooms today. I think this is the peak for this flush.

We have two varieties and both are white with purple eye spots, but I don't know the names of the varieties. All I know is the fruits will be different sizes. The smaller fruits are green to yellow and I think the bigger ones will be purplish.
