Hey Pretty Canuk
I found some sweet looking tours on Viator.com and a few pages back (not sure how many, it's getting really big in here) someone mentioned that there is a guy near the resort called "the king"who gives great tours. I have also heard that the Monster truck safari is fun there is a great review at News, travel & tourism info from Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic
exact location of the list of trips offered through viator is Sightseeing, tours, attractions and events - book online
hope this helps!
Hey my fellow pale Canuck!
I have a few links for you if you are looking for excursions ...
I am leaving in 36 hours, so I can let you know everything when I get back ...
If you are there this week, someone will be meeting us on Jan 10th, outside the front lobby ... His name is Martin, highly recommended by some of our loyal friends here on DR1 ...
Let me know!

Not that I saw. however, I think maybe you can at the adult lounge/bar. Don't quote me on that. Let me see if I can find out.
You may not need it though. Dominican coffee is fabulous and usually strong. It hits the spot. In fact you will most likely want to bring several pounds home with you as it is also very inexpensive, around $2 US per pound.
