:surprised Hi Planner, Many Thanks for info on beds, will have to talk it over with my mate, By chance do you know where I can get a email address for the hotel, You can PM me if you would like, Now Ref the 151, The last 3 times I have been to the DR, I allways brought a few bottles of 151 to take home with me, because it's sooooooooo good and smooth It will make you go to sleep very quickly if like me you drink a whole bottle, Have they brought in a new rule stopping you from taking it out of the Country then. IF you are asking where is good to go out to at night : Mangu on the resort. It is well liked by your age group and there will be lots of other from the other resorts too.

Wine - The wine here is generally not great. Probably a mid level sweetness and not an expensive brand. I've not found one resort here with good wine. And if you are bringing your own - are you sharing???

151 is now illegal to take out of the country. They stop you at the airport and ask if you have it. They will possibly go thru your luggage to find it..... THey then take it away from you.... And what fun is falling asleep from 151?

Cost is about 100 pesos or $3 US. The movies are not first run but often are great movies. Check to see if they are English with Spanish subtitles. Sometimes they are in Spanish....

This is generally correct. The weather charts are showing a large winter storm forming in the North Atlantic by Friday of this week. These generate large areas of ocean waves called swells - which often make it into the tropics a couple days later. Hence the larger waves that may show up at times on the north shore, even when the local winds are fairly light.
April starts to get calmer and is defiinitely hotter .. but you can still have strong North Atlantic storms churning about then too.

They were filming the video the week while we were there (beginning of Dec). I recognize some of the faces in the group shots, mostly the kids. I have no idea if the people talking about the resort were guests, but I would hope so!

Planner thank you for the hot sun hours, on the ocean issues, is there a strong undertoe? I love to swim but like to do it in safty. Thanks again for all your help and if you don't mind me asking where are you from origionally? I thought maybe u were a DR native but from a recent post I think perhaps not! Have a great day
