Hey Olly,

You really give a "Dislike" to the Original Post/Opening of the Topic where we Bordmembers Every year post the actual weather observations in the different areas of the DR to keep ourselves informed By Ourselves???

if You don't like such,
why don't you just move to Dave's interpretations of the weathersites?
btw, Stormcarib is not a bad site to read to get a understanding of the often not-understandeable weather guru prognosis slang, I personally like the way Dave "translates" the weather news into something everybody can understand.

Happy Stormwatches

in reality I prefer Boring Hurricane Seasons, means we have much more Time to enjoy the Time on da Ranch, riding Horses, run some nice BBQ's and take care about all da beautiful Neighbour Cowgirls without wasting Time to prepare Boats for a Run out of the Area or checking weather sites too often, ha ha.

now the link also opens for me, maybe I had just a haggle with my Internet here when I tried to open it earlier.
great description of preparations on the Red Cross Site, the most complete one I ever saw/read.

Funny but the capital city of SD has been mostly cloudy but dry, especially during the days, some showers at night but nothing major, Barahona has seen a lot of rain the last couple of days and from what I hear the Cibao region has also been very wet, but Santo Domingo? nada, as we say, mucha espuma y poco chocolate...

I'm in Ensanche Quisqueya, by Ave. Nu?ez de C?ceres, it's been wet but not raining, only at night we get some showers, maybe a couple of drizzles (llovisnas) during the day but I count those as just nuisance, if it's not going to rain hard better not rain at all... BTW, I love a rainy day :p

here in Cabeza de Toro we had hard Rain, windfree but full downpour, last late night from around 3AM til 5:30AM something, then it stopped and today we had no rain at all, been all dry, but mostly cloudy, the sunny minutes been something rare today.
but it still been hot and humid all day long.

the wide but weak disturbance named 94L moved more to the West than it seemed last night, so even less of dangerous Rain for anything Dominican located.
I don't think it will develop into anything, even that the NOGAPS Model still predicts it as a depression by early next week.
doesn't look as it could wander Easterly, so nothing for Us anyways.
I hope we pass also tomorrow mostly rainfree here on the East, and then we should be back to the usual sunshine.
I wonder about above reports that the Capital stayed mostly Dry, on the Maps it looked as if some parts would have received quiet a amount of Rain and Windspeed, but that's the Maps watched on a computerscreen, never something exact on the Spot, that's why our real Live Reports from the different Regions on the Island are so Important, they bring the by far more accurate Picture of the game and help to learn to interprete the maps better/more accurate.

It rained all night in Santo Domingo, not hard rain but steady most of the night, on Sunday it's been dry but cloudy, the sun peeked shily a couple of times but the clouds won the battle. Let's see who wins the battle tomorrow.

To use a phrase someone used in this thread before, it's been raining "canines and felines" all day today in Santo Domingo, it seems it will stay that way throughout the rest of the day, the clouds look dark and ominous... from what I hear it's somewhat sunny in Barahona...
