no HB,
I have to disagree.
as seen on Central Atlantic - Water Vapor Loop (Flash) - Satellite Services Division/Office of Satellite Data Processing and Distribution
the system, which been stationary for 2 days in a row, is since yesterday moving EWest/Northwestwards, not towards the East.
what was a couple of days ago located south/southeast of jamaica is now located SW of the Cayman Islands, much more west than 2 days ago.
what makes it on the Sat shots appear to be easterly is the fact that almost all rain of the Low Pressure System is located on it's Eastern Side now, due Dry Air and unfavorable conditions on it's Western Side, but the movement of all together is westerly and NWesterly.
and it moves very slow, almost standing still, hence it bothers for longer than such sytem usually does for a specific Area.

here on the East Shore it looked this morning as if it would be over, Sun been out early on, but then we got the clouds in again this afternoon, since thios evening the rain is on agaion in Cabeza de Toro, in Bavaro it was even raining this early afternoon while we've been Dry and sunny here.

it will not develop into a Storm IMHO,
even that the watertemps are far above the average to favor such, but the Time with low windshear is over, it will raise during tonight, it didn;t develop during the Time period with the best conditions, so it will not edevlop at all, but it will be present as a bothering Rainload for at least 2 more days, and that could even be longer than 2.

94L is no longer shown on the Maps, diminished under high windshear and dry air from it's western side.
the system itself moved WNW wards, but the Rainloads been located anyways on the Eastern side of the Low and been pulled NEwards, right, while the system itself moved NWesterly and got knocked down.

the remaints can still be followed up on the active Floater on Tropical Short Floater Two Water Vapor Imagery Loop (Flash) - Satellite Services Division/Office of Satellite Data Processing and Distribution
which I guess will stop to follow the remaints later today, as it disappears.

Hispaniola been clearing on many portions during today, with still some loads to hit on the NW of the Isle, the rest will go on clearing up little by little, enough of rain for the month of June, we want some Sunshine now, even that I prefer the cloudiness for fishing without a Sunburn, lol.
here on the east we had some sunny Times today, but mostly the clouds dominated, it is Hot tho, wind very low, far below the 10 knots mark, Ocean is a Flat Plate still.

Da Highway is just fine, still.
but such will change soon of course, once the season really started.
water temps are on highest levels since early in the year, we have not much of Saharan Dry Air around til now, and not much expected for the remainder, Timing Wise the Conditions for the Big Boys from the Highway will be Perfect exactly for the peak Season end August til mid October at least, but much too early to predict what finally will come out of it or where they move to.

Gooooood Morning Anna.

here in Cabeza de Toro/Punta Cana, perfectly timed for the start of the White Marlin Tournament today and for the next 3 days, we started from Sunrise on with pure Sunshine,
it is darn Hot and very Humid, ZSero wind to be felt and Ocean is a Flat Plate.
there are some clouds seen in the distance, maybe we get in some isolated Areas a shower or 2 in the later afternoon, but at this moment it looks just perfect.
Go ahead weather, go ahead

here on the East we stayed on pure sunshine and dry all day long yesterday,
a refreshing shower late last night,
and today from sunrise on again on pure sunshine, Calm Ocean, no bothering clouds in vicinity,
and finally we have a nice soft Breeze so the Heat doesn't feel as hot as it did lately.

a perfect Beach Day today here in Cabeza de Toro.

Yes, they are catch and release and this year again they are running in great numbers.
we finished here yesterday the 2nd Billfish Tournament of the Year with the first Blue Marlin Tourney coming up now June 16th, and the last years we recognize a huge increase on the numbers of Billfish each Season, sure a effect of catch&release done on all Tournaments and on many sportfishing Boats, even not all, and of course also a effect of No Commercial Fishing Boats allowed in our Local Waters.
my Buddy Juan won this weekend's Tournament with 25 white Marlin Releases in just 3 Days, fantastic Quantity.

Yeah,
the Highway is actually very calm, but it is anyways very early in the Season, nothing to expect from there this early.
also the Caribbean Sea runs actually under Dry Air, no moisture around after the heavy rainfalls over Jamaica/Cuba/Haiti and Hispaniola shortly ago.
looks like a quiet and Hot and Humid June with Flat Ocean Conditions and no significant Winds.

here on the East we have no wind, no waves, just Heat, exactly what visitors are looking for,
and da Fishies are biting.

We have a LOW,
Hey Guys,
we really have a Low!!!!
Yes,
it's too far away to be important for the Isle,
it is over the Bay of Campeche, but just wanted to mention it for the people waiting for something Stormwise happening within the 3000 miles Radar of the Island, lol.

over here on the East/PC we have finally since 2 days the CFurrents back,om we get again nice Mahi Catches, have a nioce cooling down Breeze in the since weeks Hot and unstandeable Beach Area, fishing will be top the next 1- days, so will be the puking of the Ones not used to open Ocean.

after the long Heat Period we had over our Heads finally today some Thunders and Lightnings and short whiled but Hqard Rains frell down over the Region, as usual teh most on the Landwards side around Higuey and Uvero Alto of course, I hit some short but heavy and windfree Rain this morning in the Bavaro Area, on the other side Veron has nothing to complain about and Cabezab de Toro received a simple minimum of a short Sprinkling only, nothing really bad around anywhere,
but stay Focused.

so the first Tropical Storm of the Season is Born.
Invest 95L over the Bay of Campeche went quiet quick from a Invest over a Tropical depression straight to Tropical Storm Status.
Movement will be westerly towards the Mexican Eastshores.

here on the East we have fresh air tonight, very welcome, under a light Cloudcover with a Breeze of around 15mphr out of the East.
should provide some great mahi Fishing Tomorow, it is the 1st evening since a while sitting on the veranda after midnight without sweating from Humidity, feels just great.

nothing bad in vicinity for our DR shores at this Moment.

Tropical Storm made luckily a early Landfall ion the NE'ern shores of Mexico this early Wee Hours.
the Storm showed last night signs of a almost built up Eyewall and intensified quiet quickly the last hours before the Hit, 10 more hours over water and it would have been a strong Hurricane.
the effected Areas in Mexico which will receive a large ammount of Rainloads during the next 48hrs just passed a 50 years Record Draught/Dry Time Period, so the water will be welcomed there, even that sure the floodings will be named a Millions Dollar Damage thingy for the History Books.

for our part of the Globe, as far as such as is "possible" as a forecast, we have nothing to await for the next 5-8 days,
the Caribbean Sea and the Highway show a more and more Moistureous Atmosphere, but no signs of to be expected Formations so far.

here on the Eastshore we ar hot and humid as usual, we will get some clouds passing through, but no big rain expected. we may get some drops here and there in isolated Areas, but nothing worth to mention.
we are simply on Hot and humid perfect Beach weather.

Happy Tans

the Atlantic will stay in case of Tropical Storm Formations stay quiet for several mo9re Days, nothing to await before mid next week, but form our east/South of Puerto Rico/Virgins etc we have quiet a Load of Water moving into the Area this afternoon/tonight/tomorrow and maybe also during Sunday, winds are close to shore actually around 15knots gusting 20 knots, Air here on shore feels nice fresh.
we had a very short shower here in Cabeza de Toro an hour ago, when I crossed Veron an hour prior to that it had been raining there for 20 minutes heaviliest with a strong wind on, it is isolated by Areas still, but we can expect more during tonight, not bad to give the rivers a lil refill and to make for a Fresh Air Nights Sleep.

for fishing the produced current lines from that Breeze are perfect,
we caught this morning in around 4 1/2 hours 21 nice Mahis/Dorados, 2 Albacores and 3 Tunas,
perfect conditions for the Fisherman, even that the Guests pucked all that AI Breakfast out for the Fishies, but it worked, the Fishies cam aboard, ha ha.

how does it look down around Byahiobe/La Romana etc???
from the Radar it looks like there will also be some share of the water coming down.

cheers

Mike
