MAQUINO, I had to edit your post to remove your e-mail address. This is a public forum and you're better off using the board's PM function for communications.

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with DR Jean Paul Giudicelli in the Domincan Republic, CENTRO DE CIRUGIA PLASTICA Y ESPECIALIDADES (CECIP). I will be going to DR next week to have tt, lift and breast implant. I would appreciate any feedback or reviews. Thanks.

I totally agree with you.. A few times a year he comes to NYC to do consultations and my friend attended to one of his visits. He was charging her 4,500.00 usd for a tummy tuck and this girl is like 5'6 and 130 all she has is extra skin from pregnancy.... I mean thats what there charging here in nyc if you go to a hospital like nassau university hospital or ear and eye hospital down on 14th street and union square. Can can get a tummy tuck for 3800.00...
The prices are getting better here...

But i do know a 2 dr's in DR that are cheaper and good ones. I will be going in FEB to see him.... I will be getting tummy tuck with lipo and breast lift with implants all for 6000.oo usd think its cheap because here in the US for a breastlift and implants its only 6000.00..
Both dr's are god i just need to decided which one i like better.

Name:
Severo Mercedes Acosta
Victor Medrano.
If your interested ill get u the numbers

Maquino, I have two friends that went to Dr. Mercedes. One got her tummy tuck with and the other got lipo, niether were happy with the results, recuperation and were left with bad looking scars. He was cheaper than other docs, but in this case, they got what the paid for...

I would like to research Dr.Hector Cabral as well. I was recommended by one of his American patients who had a successful surgery. She recently had a tummy tuck, but and breast lift -- she look amazing. Her experience was a great one, unlike many of the some of Dr. Cabrals reviews that I read about. She said the hospital/location was beautiful and clean, the nurse staff was pleasant and her interaction w/the doctor was good. He treated her more like a friend than a patient.

Needless to say, I am still a bit reluctant given the bad reviews and the U-Tuble clips I seen. I know that every experience is different and there will be mistakes but I can't afford to be that mistake.

Can you provide me with any information you have on Dr. Cabral? The more research the better informed my decision will be. Thanks!

Dr Hector Cabral was arrested last night, Dec. 10, 2010, in Queens, NY for practicing medicine without a license, for conducting evaluations on patients for potential plastic surgery procedures in DR.

Complaints from 2 women who consulted with him in NY and later traveled to DR for tummy tucks and/or liposculpture led to the arrest. I saw the 2 women, and the scars are horrific.

Here's a video of the tv report showing the 2 women who went to Dr. Hector Cabral for liposculpture. It's in Spanish, but the images tell you everything that you need to know.

He just gets an 18 year old Dominican girlfriend!
Save you time AND money! The sad truth is men want YOUTH,and there is NO proceedure to get that back! When a woman reaches 30 years old,she can no longer compete,"Body Wise" with younger girls! You must now use your "Sexuality",and mind to get the guy, your breasts alone can no longer do it!
Don't take this the wrong way!I want about 24 hours with Halley Berry, and then please shoot her! I would rather spend the rest of my life with Candy Crowly(CNN Political Reporter)You need to work what you have, not try to regain what you have lost.Like a 30 year old major league pitcher who looses
his fast ball, develope a "Slider",or a "Knuckle Ball"! VERY effective!Get a "Stairmaster",you can always work that Butt into a man "Magnet"!
CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC

Ha ha ha... but at least our female equipment continues to work into old age even though some of our parts might need a little lift or tuck... try keeping an 18 year old hottie on your arm if your equipment doesn't work anymore...unless you're wallet is pretty hefty you don't have a chance.. LOL

I have questions about after care and how long it takes to recover from a tummy tuck or lipo procudure under normal circumstances. I've considered getting a tummy tuck for years now ever since I had twins, my tummy's never been the same. I also developed an abdominal hurnea during the pregnancy which I've had repaired 3 times now and it keeps coming back. I've lost a lot of weight this year and I've been told now that I need to get a more extensive surgery, with mesh inserted to repair the hurnea. If I'm going to go through that I might as well get them both done at the same time. I'm just concerned about whether or not it's wise to travel down and get this done until I know what to expect re after care, how soon I can expect to return home etc...

To travel from a developed country to a developing country to go under the knife is just crazy to me (no offense to Dominicans doctors).

Even in a so called "1st world country", you have to be very very very careful.

Personally, my life or the scars are not worth saving a couple thousands dollars.

And if you want your teeth fixed right - then come to the D.R.

"HOMS is as good as any US hospital"

Anyone ever been treated there and what do they think about that statement?

Would love to know from someone with experience.

CB posted a while ago about his positive and relatively inexpensive procedures at HOMS.

I'm going into Kingston General Hospital in Kingston Ontario for Bypass surgery (I'm fit but fighting genetics) in January. If I survive I'll let everyone know how things went. I have the upmost confidence in my Doctor Dimitri Petiskas. I have heard enough about HOMS that I would feel confident in proper and safe treatment.

best of luck to you !! Genetics, genetics....the eternal fight

Don't get me wrong, I have no doubt in my mind there are nice and safe facilities as well as good doctors in the DR, but you live in the DR and have the ressources to have the correct info, visit for yourself and ask around people without a vested interest, which is quite different for a foreigner/tourist.

For a foreigner to go to another country to undergo a surgery on word of mouth or based on the internet recommendations is, in my opinion, crazy.
