I just looked on their website and couldn't find any branch addresses. Do they have branches where you can see the products (especially on the north coast for me) or are they just online?Ilumel delivers in one or two days every time. No BS there...

Just two stores with large show rooms. And Outlet floors. SD and Punta Cana.I just looked on their website and couldn't find any branch addresses. Do they have branches where you can see the products (especially on the north coast for me) or are they just online?
For anything larger than a table lamp, I’d estimate that the prices in SD are marked up anywhere between 20-50% in comparison to Canada. One of the best things about living in DR is that you can get things made. Go to IKEA, go to Ilumel, take a photo of what you like then go to Villa Consuelo and find a guy to make the same article. You'll get it for a fraction of the price and in proper wood, not the crap that IKEA uses. And you can choose your fabric.
IKEA is great for things like plates and glasses, and to get ideas, but I wouldn't buy furniture there. It's so expensive these days as well. Most of their sofas are heading up towards RD$ 50,000. US$ 1000 is quite a lot to pay for a sofa which is made of particle board not wood, and has cheap cheap fabric.
I have also been using Facebook Market quite a lot recently. I saw a rug that I liked in IKEA and found exactly the same rug on Facebook Market, excellent condition, for less than 20% of the price IKEA was charging. So it's well worth checking out.
Bob is it foam or springs? I see they also have a “hybrid” mattress as well.I have an IKEA mattress set, topnotch comfort and is still very good after 8 years. Frame is caoba.

You have been using Youtube quite frequently and yesterday I received a WhatsApp chat regarding a house you are trying to sell. (Unsolicited BTW) These are social media venues I think?Nope, I do not use Social Media..........
? do you own a hotel or Cabana with the purchase of 30 mattresses?Their mattresses are seriously expensive and they only fit IKEA beds as they are a funny size. Much better to get mattresses made here. The quality is amazing and they are reasonably priced. I have bought maybe 30 mattresses in the last ten years all from the same guy in Villa Consuelo and never had to change a single one.
I bought mine at a moving back to the states sale, not expensive and almost new. Woman and her husband, borh Dominican Americans retired, he loved it and she hated it. She moved back to live with a daughter in Florida, he stayed in his parents old house in Santo Domingo.Their mattresses are seriously expensive and they only fit IKEA beds as they are a funny size.
