I have tried but I just cannot develop a taste for it. I really do not drink much but a nice glass of wine or a good rum is more what I prefer.
Except for here in the DR where I've seen women that can drink beer like water and keep up with the men, it's not that popular among women as a group.
When they're paying it's a group of 4 or 5 of them milking one Presidente grande the whole night, when someone else is paying then it's "ay mi amor yo no bebo Presidente, dame una Corona" and she'll finish it within 15 minutes 😁
I remember going to Mexico in the 80's and Mexicans would ask me why gringos like Corona so much. It was a blue collar beer to them. I think they squeeze limes in it to hide how bad it really tastes.

My daughter had it last year when she stayed langer to take care of her grandmother when my father in law died.
She had to stay at a clinic in Santiago for a week and then got repatriated by our Belgium medical insurance.
It’s bad.
I’m a cheap date. I’ll take a sip of Mr AE’s Presidente, that’s it. No wine, no booze. Maybe a shot of limoncello if it’s available. I’m happy with lemonade, iced tea or water. Boring, I know.
