"Zilberberg Cabral was suspended". It sort of clouds what really has happened to him. If the "fired" was used there would be no doubt of his situation. The investigation will lead to a police formal review of his actions and subsequent punishment. It is more than likely he will be demoted and transferred to a no name pueblo in the mountains... or worst yet, to police central headquarters where he is just another shadow.

The most likely outcome is he'll be transfered.
