Not a Hurricane!!!
Emma...Alpha never was a hurricane, it passed over us as a Tropical Strom and is now headed towards the bahamas as of 5pm today. There is a thread specifically devoted to this topic under Weather and Beyond, please check there for more information. Not to worry for your 30th arrival..it's gone!
The section you posted in is for La Romana weather which is on the Southeastern coast of the island whereas Sosua is on the Northern Coast. For weather related to Sosua, you may want to check the Puerta Plata weather section, that's the closest to Sosua.

Currently at 7:00am it is 75?F/25?C the winds are out of the ESE @ 8mph/12kph. It is somewhat overcast and the sun is slowly rising through some heavy distant clouds.
Today we can expect some cloudiness, very humid and the sun to shine! There is a slight possibility of a shower this morning. This evening somewhat cloudy and humid and the possibility of a shower in spots.
