quick, open the cisterna, its chuckin' it down.........

So funny dt. I'm looking at my rain gauge while it is pouring at this time. My cisterns runnith over and my rain gauge is more like someone pounced on the gas peddle. :)

Good morning! Thanks to all for joining in. :)
1.4 inches from yesterday evening and last night. OK. It can stop now for a couple of days.

69.4 F at 5:30 AM. 7:45 AM; 72 F low clouds but sun is trying to peek through them. 0.0 mph breeze. Ocean swells still a little confused and moderate in size.

It looks like that front is just sitting over the eastern part of the Dominican Republic so we can expect about the same today. Zoom out to see the BIG picture. :)

I believe that most of the temp info is taken at the airports so temps are usually much higher due to all the concrete and asphalt. As I said, 69.4 F at my place this AM and I'll bet that places like Jarabacoa were a lot lower.

October stat's in S.D. (the recorded high of 108.1 F is most likely a glitch.)

Ringo and EDDY ,
Heavy rain here about 6km from Sosua and the likelyhood of much more rain tonight. Looking at the Sat pics suggest that here will be much more tonight.
I think flash floods are possible in Sosua so EDDY perhaps you should prepare.

Thank you Olly. Just as your post came up here the rain started and .50 inches in less then half and hour............. then stopped.

I agree that everyone should be a little watchful about possible flash flooding. Does Dominican Today read our stuff Olly?

The whole island is covered with clouds this PM, some local areas can expect to have a lot of rain. I just don't know which ones. :(

Looks like the P.R. is getting some heavy rain and T-storms. Difficult to say which way things are going and ... what will disappear and what NEW things pop up.

Weather in the D.R................. who knows?
