That's why I moved back to NY from FL after only 2 years and why I only vacation in tropical islands.
The heat is for the birds!!!!!!!!! IMO
It is called "The Big Apple" not the swealtering apple.
IMO. Upper New England could be just as hot and humid as it is here in the D.R. Difference was that I COULD almost afford to run LOTS of AC. I don't have to split and haul 5 cords of wood anymore and keep the fires going all day in the winter. We also had a small generator for the winter power gone times. Adjusting/acclimating takes some time. Come January my wife will be complaining that it is TOO cold in the mornings and wished that I'd put in the fireplace in the original design.
Talking with others, we don't remember our weather having such a long stretch of heat. But then talking about weather we tend to forget over time very quickly. lol.
HOT. Yes it has been. We are in a pattern that IS changing but very slowing. More clouds and rain moving in mostly in the afternoons. Most of our Island has clouds again this evening at the time that I post so expect some pop-up T-storms again. Rain? This Sat map changes with time.

I think that anyone that watches weather around the world has noticed some intense changes over the last few years that continue.
I'm very OK right here. Have a good evening all.
OH? Big Apple? Will that be soon baked with a nice spice topping OR pouched under boiling water? Sorry... you guys have your weather too and we all deal with what we have.
