If you're frustrated with an inconsiderate or apathetic pet owner and murder's on your mind, be a man or a woman and kill them. When you're thrashed or being murdered in retaliation it will probably dawn upon you that it was an overreaction. Or perhaps when you're sitting in a jail cell. To poison a domesticated animal because it has an irresponsible owner is an act of cowardice, an abuse of power.

I do apologize For calling you those names PJT. I have not been myself the last month so I am sorry. I'm having a really difficult time dealing with issues in my home City. Sorry I took it out on you. I've been an asshole on here. Kinda having a nervous breakdown type thing...

...

Good stuff. I identify. My inner asshole has a way at popping out at inconvenient times. I generally feel like an asshole afterwards.

Several people have been kind enough to point it out over the years.

My brother is a retired airline pilot. He tells a story about a pilot nobody liked who confided in a Captain from Texas once that nobody liked him.

The Texan told him something like "Look... it's real simple, you're an asshole and ain't never gonna be nuthin but an asshole". :D

Self awareness helps prevent it becoming a permanent debilitating condition.

To those of you tough guys that kill dogs and cats; That "barking snarling dog" would likely lap your hand and wag his tail if you approached him in a friendly non intimidating manner. Unless a dog is diseased or has been so terribly mistreated he/she is beyond hope, it wants nothing more than to be your friend

takes a real big man to kill a pet

This is a sad fact of life but outside of most cities people do not value pets lives all that much. In the third world its even less. People think nothing of drowning cats and dogs or poisoning them or any other things that we find so barbaric. For petes sake look at all the viralta.
This is not the EU or US or Canada. Eighty percent of the population cannot feed its children do you think they give a shyte about dogs? They wouldnt even begin to feel guilty if you confronted them.

As developing as this nation is, the atitudes on animal cruelty are rather undeveloped.

I agree, but where issues of ownership is concerned, Dominicans know whose animals belong to who. It's clearly not appropriate to kill en masse animals that belong to people, pets or otherwise. So while the penalties aren't in place, this isn't something that I see most Dominicans accepting as ok. (I certainly don't pretend to speak for them.) They may have differing standards of what good care means, but I think there's a universality that respects ownership.

To me it seems about robbery.

Your correct, but its the comments made by people from developed countries that are catching the heat.

Sorry...what is the point you are making?
Guess most of us already know that any country still developing will put less value on the lives of animals...although we could look at how oh so developed countries treat animals too....nah....lets leave that for another thread
However....this post was about families...who have dogs as pets....have had their family pets poisoned
This is not about the feelings of the person/s who actually killed those family pets.
Perhaps you are saying that in a developed country a sadistic fruit loop would pause before administering poison and say
"mmmmmmmmmm...should I, as a fully developed person, really hurt those little furry animals?"
My post was to inform/alert families in the area re the mass poisoning of family pets & to ask anyone with info. to please report it.
Hope this helps bring you back in the loop

Sorry if I appear thick.....even though I do come from a developed country (would luv to read your definition of that)
O.K. I DO understand the first 2 words you posted...however what the frig does the remaining 15 mean?
Oh and is it of any relevance on this thread?
Maybe you are just having playtime with your mates???
Hopefully the moderator will now CLOSE THIS POST as I think some of the usual clever sniping $hits have managed to turn it into their own little playground slanging match.....see what you kids have done!!!!
Effin $hit if I am not lowering myself and turning into one of you

Come on kiddies, play nice.

This is a serious issue, and I don't want to close the thread before we find out who did it. As someone said.... SOMEONE knows something. It may be just a matter of time.

@ Jill
When I wrote " your correct" it was beneath a quoted text from a previous post and it related directly to that.
As far as catching heat ( term for negative responce) was a reference to the people from developed countries ( commonly included North America and Europe given their standard of living) posting how they settle issues with neighbors pets by killing them. Coming from a developed society one would think they would handle the situation differently.
Does that help?

Many years ago I lived in Puerto Plata in an upscale neighborhood, as I remember it was called Torre Alta. There was a big problem with stray dogs causing havoc in the neighborhood. So the "La Junta de Vecinos" met and solved the problem by one night poisoning all the street dogs. Next morning about 25 dogs were dead in the neighborhood, including many who were pets of residents who just happened to be out that night. True story ! K
