Would Peter really get a year in prison?

Puerto Plata. - The Attorney General of Puerto Plata, asked 12 months imprisonment as a coercive measure against two defendants who were credited with being the ringleaders responsible for procuring the establishment Passio's Bar, located in the municipality of Sos?a, Province Puerto Silver.

After welcoming the request of prosecutors, Judge Rafael Reyes Vega Osiris coercive measure imposed against Mr. Peter Jensen, of German origin, and the Dominican Mariela Rodriguez Rodriguez, alias Lupe.

The defendants were arrested and brought to justice after intelligence work coordinated by the Special Prosecutor Against the Smuggling of Migrants and Trafficking in Persons and the Procurator Fiscal of Puerto Plata, that direct judges and Alba Guti?rrez Jonathan Nunez Bar? Pichardo, respectively , which was attended by Colonel Jos? Hern?ndez Guti?rrez, commander of the Department of Immigration Control and Research against Smuggling of Migrants and Trafficking National Police.

During the raid practiced at that establishment were found various appliances and objects such as computers and digital cameras as well as uniforms for ladies, invoices and receipts where supposedly finds the inputs and outputs women did with clients.

Anyone know if the Pasions girls are working in another establishment now or perhaps D'Latin? I guess this could have a noticeable difference in the landscape of that industry in Sosua.

Maybe this will be a chance to give the non-working girls a try. Just some advice!!!!

lol, the very reason many folks go to Pasions is because they like a CONTROLLED environment. They may not want to deal with Dominicanas in a more natural setting, but good advice nonetheless.

there you go. you would not want to spoil your reputation, would you?

by the way, does the name Al's Mr Wedge mean anything to you? if you have been there, we probably know each other.

I know Al.

This topless joint went down the drain a few years ago. At one point ( pun intended Hunt's Point ), it became a go-go club because of the zoning laws. No more topless. I had some good times there. :)

Reality!?

I first met Peter Jensen at La Passions (SP?) in late 2005 / early 2006.

He had recently scarpered form Venezuela and had just had his first child with Mariella.

Passions had been open a few months and was basically a tiki bar at the 'wrong' end of Pedro Clisante.

He has worked hard and done well.

But let us not 'guild the lilly' here.

The last communication was almost a fight.
He was offering my friend's 14 year old daughter a job in La Passions.
Maybe he did not know she was 14 but he still approached her.
Mariella was present and aware.

This was in the Caribe Campo swimming pool where he lived.

I am not saying that Peter is a bad guy - but he hires girls to work in his bar where (through one of his income streams) he makes money off them having sex with clients.

Is anyone saying that he does not?

Slam Dunk!

I am not judging him or what he does - but please let us call a spade a spade. Just think about whether you would be OK with your kin working for Peter and Mariella in Passions.

He where asking my wife as well when we living in the Caribe Campo area.

After that i never talked to him again. He is worth zero in my book after that stunt.

But to his defence, he has to find willing workers, and you never know before you have asked around. And as i said earlier, it is way better he has a business in controlled conditions, than what we see in Sosua every day.

Aunque las leyes dominicanas no proh?ben que una persona se prostituya s? tipifican como crimen la explotaci?n sexual de otra persona y establecen penas de 15 a 20 a?os de c?rcel para los proxenetas y sus c?mplices.

it does not help that he will be visualized as a foreign predator aggrandizing himself via the desperation of poor locals.

I don't wish trouble with the law on anyone. But Peter was warned. He assumed, I suppose, like many on DR1, that the talk about shutting down major prostitution in Sosua was only talk.

Peter is a very smart business man. I always enjoyed talking to him, he was always very humble. The girls chose to work there. He provided them with a job and a safe environment to do what they do. Of course he makes monkey off of them for having sex with clients...that's his business....what is wrong with that business model??? Next to Playero he's the most busy business in Sosua.

One could ask; will the same be done with CMP, City Lights, New Garden Hotel, as well as other hotels that allow chicas on their premises to solicit the guest staying there?
