Miley Cyrus concert banned in DR

Miley Cyrus is an average talent hack. Can't wait till she fades into the woodwork. For the life of me I can't understand her appeal. But then again, I don't think it's her as much as the role she plays. Every generation needs the psuedo-rebel/rule breaker.

I applaud the "censors" for kicking her ass to the curb.

the music world is screwed man.. these "acts" are groomed from childhood to adulthood and people still think they have some actual talent.. They see someone doing something screwy and think it's "unique" when it's just an act that's prescribed to them. I went to a small venue in Miami where cultura profetica, popcaan, and a couple other good reggae/dancehall acts and although it had a decent outing, the people didn't even know who the musicians were

funny you mention Cultura Profetica. that is easily, and by far, the best band in the region. professionalism beyond belief, and just world class. they have played every LA country you can think of. they were even invited to the Bob Marley memorial concert in California. my intel says that they have never played the DR, even though they are an island hop away. maybe reggae is too low brow for these fakers, who are desperately trying to look like coconut tree rockers and headbangers.

i find miley circus to be very mediocre. i get her slutty shtick despite her noassatallis and notitseitheritis. but she's boring like hell. all she does now has been done before and much better too. i find no reason to ban her non-existing ass from DR thou. she's lame but harmless.

Promoters want the young demographic. The older fans add to the bottom line. Appealing to your particular discriminating tastes and opinions does not fill stadiums; nor does your definition of the "cosmopolitan" worldview. Beiber and Cyrus have enough talent that they do. I am opposed to banning anyone from performing, so long that they are not within hearing distance. good music, when played on good equipment, does not deteriorate with volume. it is because of the crap they play it on here that music is an annoyance. turn up the volume with good equipment, the music just gets bigger, not unbearably louder
