It might as well be.
You don't see gringos there, in fact, there is very little traffic between it and "the big city".
One gets the impression of being in a time warp, or maybe to have found a society that doesn't want to be a part of the rest of the world.
As a side note, they are having a Patronales celebration for the next 7 days with the action beginning at approx. 5 PM everyday.

I have to say, I would never have found this place if were not for Rocky.
Rocky told me the story of when he first found it by accident while riding his motorcycle 17 years ago.
One could just imagine coming across this town that time forgot unexpectedly, while exploring the countryside on a bike. Talk about motorcycle diary!
Maybe Cobra discovered it the same way.
It is a very beautiful town, with no trash, no noise, no unfriendly people, and a beautiful view, not to mention the most interesting baseball field in the world, and that is a fact!
