Need Avice on my trip POP/STI/SDQ

That's exactly why you don't call them on the phone. I got the same answer from the hotel in PC when I called. I went to the airport in PC and boarded in 30 minutes to SDQ. Once there I had to wait 1 hour for a Domca flight up north. I took the phone numbers directly off their receipt. Also on the receipt, 3900RD round trip, lets see, oops, I was 5 dollars off. It is actually 65US. My appology.The date was March 10.05 so maybe it went up a little.
They always will tell you about the charters which no one goes on, unless you have 6 people, hummmmmm 275 divided by 6.. not a bad deal
I wish I had your time to investigate others airfare info. The next time I fly I will let you do my legwork for me

You posted the numbers for your "every other hour $60 flights", and then you tell us that's exactly why we shouldn't phone?
Then why the heck did you post the numbers, if you know you can't get those infamous every other hour $60 flights?
Did you also notice that the OP was talking about traveling from Sosua to Santo Domingo, and not Punta Cana? So when you quote your 3,900 pesos prices from PC to SDQ, and tell us how you boarded in 30 minutes, tell us how this helps the OP with his question.
People who post question on DR1, trust us to give them good accurate information and we have to live up to that expectation.
To give wrong, misleading or irrelevant info is doing them an injustice and could lead to costly mistakes.

I phoned them all.
The first 2 were the same person answering the phone, and he explained that he had no scheduled commercial flights, but that a private airplane fo 1 person was $275 US.
The third number, was Aerodom, and they gave me the exact same answer. No scheduled $60 US flights, just a small private plane for $275 US.
Would you please give us the numbers for the airlines that fly every 2 hours for $60 US?

The numbers I posted were taken directly off the receipt I have, what they tell you is not my problem,that's why I went to the airport to see for myself and found out differently.This is why I say get your tickets AT the airport, don't call. The web sites for both airlines are useless, kind of like you. Air Santo Domingos site has been under construction for years, and Aero Domca offers little info, soooo I am trying to offer the OP some options. I see he replyed with a thank you for the info. You better get some glasses, you ARE older than me according to you. I posted the Aero Domca flight was 60 but found it to be 65 after looking at my receipt. Shame on me. That is from SDQ Herrera to POP. I just walked up to the ticket counter, purchased them and left within the hour. The flight from PC to SDQ is a different story, and a different airline which I did not post any info on because PC was not mentioned. The 275 dollar flight is a deal for six people, do the math. Hummmmmm about 45.83US, kind of like sharing a cab to POP eh?
I have been doing these flights for years, and know what I'm talking about. You take the cheap, under 100 dollar cabs that don't exsist, and probably have never flown this route before in your life. The OP was looking for info from both SDQ and STI to POP. Thats what I replyed with. You should really learn first what your talking about and stick to the north coasts post, maybe Rick from BocaChica will share some of his medication with you.LOL

We will go to the house in Otra Banda for 1 day to check on the girls from Canada that are renting there, and then Sunscape in PC. You are wecome to stay as long as you want. Tobacco gets the ax in about 3 or 4 weeks, have to hang it in the barn and dry, then contact Hankie in STI to see when he wants to talk buying, I will keep you up to date. You will be long time back from Columbia.
It's 65 not 60 and you would still have to get to PC from SDQ, better yet, take one of Marco cabs, it will cost you and me less from POP to PUJ. LOL

1. When he said sounds like a good idea, I take that as a thank you or compliment on the return post,what's the big deal???
2. They tell you 275, plenty of people are looking for this kind of deal when they miss flights or walk in at the last minute.It's a good deal. I did this to Las Terrenas when the 18 passenger plane was full. It was divided by 5 ways, no shortage of passengers that wanted to go. The flight was great, flying at 3000 ft. could see all the mountains, Pico Duarte, etc.
3. Back to #2 if they told you 275, that was a deal, they quoted me last Mar. 375, hummmmm, maybe the price went down. Great! maybe I will consider this option on my next to STI from SDQ.
4. Try a MYSTERY flight sometime, you might learn something, but you will have to dig DEEP in your pocket for that 65US. It might hurt.
5. You can't supply accurate information unless you yourself have done it both ways. You said yourself you never did a mystery flight. I have done it several times. I don't know what I'm talking about.
6. I don't know what Ricks on, but you both should be taking XANAX LOL
7. When Scott gets back from his luxury vacation in the east, he will be able to straighten you out on your poor airline edicate.

GGN you had me already to take the plane for 50 bucks, especially after my novia told me that "it is unamerican to ride on a guagua". So seems like i will have to try to organise other people to fly with me, or just hop on the guagua for 5 hours and 10 bux.

Rocky thanks for the investigation, i didnt want to just come out and say ggn got caught in a lie. I figured maybe he flew when the peso was in the 60's.

But i made this post to get the proper information published for myself and others. And we will have to keep looking for the mysterious and hidden 50 dollar flights lol.
