I expect the resorts will foot the bill for the required covid test, just like they are doing now. It might not end up being required for beaches, restaurants, or bars, but in that case, Dominicans won't need it for those places either.
Sometime in November, Biden is going to require Americans to have proof of vaccination or a covid test to board a plane, so that will take care of the problem for American non-AI tourists. I think a lot of European countries already require vaccination or a covid test to fly(?).
In fact, the plan for non-vaccinated Americans is to require a covid test to depart, one to enter, and another one after you get back. I think That will affect tourism here more that what the DR is doing
would make them wait until after the holidays to implement it. Could be wrong about that but I do agree
with you when you say it would have an impact on the amount of arrivals from the US.
