Not just that... The "tourism" is supposed to start in July, as far as I have seen, flights are supposed to start coming in... So one day state of emergency due to a contagious pandemic, the next day, welcome tourists... I just hope all goes well... We do have a back-up plan, but still...

Right now, the government lab, in words of the health minister himself, has most of the reagents needed to do these tests. So, if the government wants to show lots of cases, it just does more tests. If it wants to show a decline in cases, then it reduces the number of tests.

I pretty much sumarized what was gonna take place for you a week ago, only difference was that I expected the extension for 10 and not 17 days. Also, wasn't expected the deal with the diputados from the PRSC, which which was the reason the SoE extension was granted this time around. The PRM were DoA!

The Deputies approved 17 more SOE days. I was wrong again. That is why I don't bet on such things.

Below my reply to your question about a week ago or so:

12 more days will placed us middle of June, the PODR will request yet another extension right before the 12, PRM will kick and scream and at the end will provide another 10 days at least. By that time will be end of June, first week of July is election day thus mission accomplished.

They have done same thing here where i live in Santiago recently. Its a great way for our local PN to make a few extra pesos while the opportunity last. Arrested at lunch time and out (after paying a small fee) in time for dinner.

My wifes brother was working with a group in the campo near Punta Ruccia. They were returning in a car after 7 and got put in jail but only for a couple of hours and set free. I dont think they paid anything.
