Anyone have info or knowledge of the new condos going up across from Playa Dorada, Atlantic Blue? The land was cleared and signs are posted.
What a great location, a beach across the street and a whorehouse next door, lol.Atlantic Blue Group - Luxury real estate projects.
Atlantic Blue Group is a project in the real estate sector in the Dominican Republic, the only one in its region with an ocean view.atlanticbluegroup3drd.com
That's real shame because I know a few people in the USA who are disabled and would be interested in living down here full-time if they could find a nice condo property with ocean views without being confined to a unit on the first floor.I very much doubt any have elevators.
Good point.I know all high-end places have backup generators but, with the power situation being what it is on the north coast, I would never want to have to depend on an elevator here.

I mentioned it to the Sales manager of Mareal and he replied:The photos appear to be a little misleading because they show the building overlooking the sea, while the map shows it on the other side of the road.
"Thank you for the observation. Definitely see what you mean, I addressed the architect and they said "no, because of the angle you wouldn't see the main road etc" They have never been to the lot, we will definitely make the change. "
Not limited to North Coast. I would never consider something on the 4th floor or above in this country.I know all high-end places have backup generators but, with the power situation being what it is on the north coast, I would never want to have to depend on an elevator here.

This is called Seawinds. Is it not the one that is already built, nearer to Kite Beach?Yet another new set of beach front condos in Cabarete at Punta Goleta. They walled off the area from the main highway and have a sign with the link:

This new project appears to be connected with the existing Seawinds. They recently put up a barrier to hide the new construction from the main road. This is called Seawinds. Is it not the one that is already built, nearer to Kite Beach?
From what I've heard, a lot PPP money and unemployment compensation (fraud during Covid) from the states goes a long way.I've never seen so much construction going on before on the north coast. Every time I drive to Sosua, there's a new site being cleared for some project. A lot of new residential housing construction gong on even in the barrios. Dominicans are flush with money somehow(?).
I was shocked (ok not really) how many people (Dominicans) that told us that they received a PPP loan. Especially since I never even knew they owned a business or for some that they even worked...lol.From what I've heard, a lot PPP money and unemployment compensation (fraud during Covid) from the states goes a long way.
It’s foreigners who are buying 99% ..I've never seen so much construction going on before on the north coast. Every time I drive to Sosua, there's a new site being cleared for some project. I don't have access to any statistics on who is buying, but it certainly seems that it is not Dominicans purchasing most of the new villas and condos. It’s foreigners who are buying 99% ..
