Relocating advice needed

Personally,
I think gated communities can be a target.... blatantly foreigner enclaves.

I prefer to assimilate -- I don't do that well, but my neighbors are my allies.
We share a common concern for safety.
Those neighbors are Dominican.

Just a thought....
