Came back from Sosua Sunday afternoon on the highway from La Vega to SD.
We were passed, several times, by groups of idiots, laying flat on top of their motorcycles, going about 150 kilometers per hour, while weaving in and out of traffic, slapping the vehicles as the passed.
I was hoping to see a nice crash, but no luck.
They were able to avoid the car door!

when i was coming back from the book signing i passed an accident, around montellano. no bodies that i could see but two cars in the ditch. just a bit further i was overtaken brutally on the corner, with zero visibility. oh well...

Someone could make a fortune introducing this as a national sweep, nothing attracts more attention here than betting on long shots and death. Betting on death would make someone millions.

Even DR1, nothing brings the members together like this time of year, all the usual posters on one forum sharing a common interest in dead and dying natives, and some even a little wager on the side. It really is the highlight of the year when posters put their issues to one side and remember what a wonderful weekend this is, shame about the numbers being so low but you can't have everything.

Sometimes what is worse is the idiotic things these people do that results in their death and sometimes the death of innocent bystanders. Never ceases to amaze.
