A few sleeze balls masquerading as YouTubers definitely played a roll in all of this.

There are dozens of articles online in both English and Spanish highlighting how most Dominicans feel about this (once well-kept secret) new found success and their quest for fame.

What's even more worse is that the creepcam channels probably don't get paid much as Youtube likes to demonetize any videos related to sex or the flesh trade. May be people can get away with a documentary or two but not for a channel full of such videos.

Youtube had also shutdown a few channels for violations as well.

So all they did was make a little bit of money and blew up the beach reputation globally and spawned a bunch of passport bro channels who talk about their trips and ask for donations.

I sometimes think of asking Senor Collado what he will do about the creepcammers via his Instagram

You certainly have an obsession with what gentleman spend their money on. If you don't go to Sosua, why are you so concerned with their life choices? The entire town literally gives them an invite, every restaurant, bar and hotel. Yet you maintain anger at the entire commerce formula.

Ah, because what the government does has an effect on what happens in Sosua and I live just a tad east of Sosua.
Cabarete falls under the overall jurisdiction of Sosua (think of Sosua as being a county in the USA) and then that is part of Puerto Plata province which is like a state in the USA... If someone from Cabarete needs to see a fiscal, they go to Sosua , for example.

What other explanation do you need? How can I be more clear on the government and the current video happy whoremongers?

I posted a link a short while back , One Channel alone with HUNDREDS of nothing but these Videos, all the same exact garbage and these dudes seem to love the BIG Gals . Ok, that is their Pleasure. FINE... but why make so many of these Open to the Public Videos on U tube ?
They teach you NOTHING about Sosua, they are not Travel Videos . they are not Tourism Videos.
they are just straight up Creeper Videos .
And yeagh , One guy DID get arrested a while back, in Sosua, by that burned down Restaurant, and it cost him $50,000 to get out of going to Jail
But it was only because he had REAL VIDEO Camera equipment which I think they Seized .. so they charged him with some "Making videos for Profit without a License" type of thing , and extorted the heck out of him.
But these Creepers with their IPhones and Go Pros , just go on and on with this Foolishness,
and I think the DR Govt has had enough.. they WILL act on it
Now they are even expanding into Punta Cana .. making videos of Every Woman in tight Clothes .. I think what's more important for most Sosua tourists and residents is how the El Batey end of the beach is going to be developed. I haven't seen any artist renditions on that yet(?).

I'm sure there are some "gentlemen" in that crowd but it's definitely not a term I would apply to the overwhelming majority. Plus, why would any gentleman want to even be remotely associated with, and hang around in, that crowd?
