Okay putting my engineering hat on, I don't think the testing service is 'broken'. I do think there are a lot of other variables that impact your results, for example:
1. do you have a torrent file open?
2. are you streaming youtube at the same time?
3. do you have outlook open into a corporate vpn?
4. what time of day are you running the test - as even your local ISP will have peaks and troughs of capacity
BUT*** Bottom line, what do you think the above 4 variables would do to the final final result?
To me, if a test says 0.5mb/s and normalizing for all the above variables brings the result to 1.5mb/s...it's irrelevant. Why? because 1.5 is still CRAP!
IS ANYBODY getting 10+ on this island??
