So, can any Expats or returning Dominicans shed some light on how they deal with this?

Go a week or so without showering. The funny looks you get will help you adapt.

I sometimes wounder how if some posters are imployable.

I dew two. I think sum are unimployable (as yew may well no).

pretty easy solution if youve got a stove. warm a big pot of water and pour it in a large bucket of cold water. and there you have warm water. but im sure that prolly too tedious or something for the fancy?
