This thread is not only about whore mongers. But I suppose that is all whore mongers think about.
It is about what happened in Sosua and what will happen because of it and much more than that. Nobody wants to believe what CB and I have said about big money wanting to clean out the reputation of prostitution before changes are made. Nobody wants to believe these actions come from Santo Domingo.
After the recent action on a very small part of one street in Sosua, more changes have been made possible. That was a necessary condition for further development. Nobody knows how much more will actually be funded. Now there is a Marriott Ocean Club being built where The Ganesvoort was. There is a great possibility of a Hilton in Sosua. Dream City is reported to have plans to break ground soon and would be a huge addition to the Sosua area.
There has been talk for many years of construction in back of Sosua beach and also cleaning out all of the illegal casitas on the beach. There is a barrier being built along the main highway between the highway and Sosua beach. Does anyone think this is a coincidence with moving the whore mongers more out of sight?
Better scoop up that Sosua real estate now, its gonna skyrocket, and please stop calling the chicas "hoes", now that the transformation is almost complete. Call them assistants or associates like they do in upscale areas in D.C, or at least domestic's.
My question is, who’s going to purchase the one block red lite property?
It’s not going cheap.... Armando don’t need to sell until big bucks are offered.... who knows the circumstances of other properties on strip; might just become dilapidated Sosua area.
Can the government just seize it?

I have followed it in Ft Lauderdale, Fl and Peoria, Il and now the same thing in Sosua. Clean up! Never does any good. there have been chicas on the streets from Bible times. It is here to stay. Use spray in the kitchen and the roaches find the bathroom. They tried publishing the names of men involved in prostitution in Peoria 40 years ago and when important names started coming out a Federal Judge put a stop to that! Like I have pointed out before if these guys were honestly Libertarians they would not be against what others are doing. It doesn't hurt them, except their feelings. But tyhey have to put a stop to this evil!
Maybe the future of Sosua is one without power. Been out since 11 AM and now after 5 PM, still out. Makes hell on traffic lights, except the one in front of Playero must be on their generator ?
I do not know much of Libertarians as you speak, but this thread has it's fair share of Libertines.

Still useful to have your own backup power, and not only in Sosua. But things are getting slowly better regarding power for those districts that pay for 24/7, believe it or not. Past were much worse!

I'm all for the clean up as well.. I'd love nothing more then

Every weekend, I check the Edenorte site and grab next weeks outage schedule. Most of the time it's pretty accurate. Our power went out today at 12:00 and was back on at 18:00 as documented. Power often goes out at other times but the schedule can let you know approximately how long it will be out for these planned outages.

I do and the batteries lasted but that was along outage.
I remember years ago, it was several per day (unplanned)and the smelly generator, but a 6 hour planned outage tells me a lot of guys were doing f_ _k all to get it back up quickly.

Why do people suggest that anyone, from the prudist bible thumper to whore monger, posting on this forum has anything more than zero influence on what the government does in Sosua (or anywhere else in the DR)?
Prostitution can be and will be eliminated in Sosua VERY SOON.
They will create for them plenty of non-sex jobs. Paying $1500- $2500 US a month. And the issue is solved.
