No....but taking a percentage of the prostitutes direct earnings for the services she provides is

An experiment could be done. You could set up an evening with hookers, charge a cover charge to enter it, and see how that goes.

What the government says it is. That is what is important. Back to the real point, promotion is considered pimping here from everything I have ever seen on it but objections by those who think they are not the same. But, I too would like to see the laws specific to this to see just how much they might be bent.

Promotion is considered promotion ...NOT PIMPING please stop lying to yourself and trying to convince others the same

Good god If that was the case then every nightclub that has a cover charge in the country would be shut down...but keep fighting the good fight

Why? Most nightclubs charge cover charge because they wanna vet the crowd, they wanna separate those willing to spend and those not willing to spend. (Also there might be special appearance, live music... that's beside the point here). Try advertising the event strictly as a prostitute/client get together and see what happens. Not just on the north coast, a few years back Conejitas and few other places in Bavaro were shut down too for the same reason. SD is a different story, it depends who owns and who frequents the spots. The club on the Malecon did shut down, some others stay open, all those diputados and generals and coronels and other bigwigs aren't gonna shut themselves in the foot lol.

Pimping, promoting - whatever. They're both illegal. Elvis never took a cut from any of the girls money. He had an apartment building that he charged rent for the girls that were there and had a a bar/restaurant where mongers could meet the girls. Nothing transpired in the apartment in the apartment building. Take out service only. He kept a catalogue of all the chicas. I would call it more like "promoting". Either way, he got busted.

Every night club is not closed because the government selectively enforces the laws as it sees fit.
Are the night clubs you mentioned that do this in Sosua and are they owned by non-Dominicans?

That catalog would have been enough.

Exactly. They want to shake you down or close you down for good it's "promoting prostitution", they want to lock you up and really fu*k with you it's "human trafficking". The owner is a friend of a friend, it's all good.

And back to Sosua, I'm so glad Orlando and others lost their business and are now crying to Ilana and suing the government. When Bobby got deported none of them said anything, they were happy, now they're bit*hing and crying, karma MFs!

Unless the North Coast and the South Coast are totally different promoting sex isnt the same as pimping. For example down here they have several bars where you walk inside, pick a girl, buy her drinks and then you can take her home. So what TaylorMade is doing is nothing compared to that and these businesses are legal and have been open for years. If they're not going after these businesses then they are not going after a man who has a party every 3 or 4 months.

You conveniently LEFT OUT one VERY Important Fact ..... I am not going to spell it out any more ... its been said so many times already, so I am somewhat BAFFLED that you can not see the difference ..which is in plain sight

Do you have a link, I have investors, I was unable to find anything decent under $75K.

"decent" well that's another story entirely. I don't want to put the name out there but check almost any real estate/sales site and you will see cheap houses and condos galore. Some are so cheap that I cant see how the complex can function. Imagine a guy paying 30gs for a condo and then being asked for 3 or 4 hundred a month in hoa fees. I could see delinquency being a problem

I know I am going to get it but I thought every single solitary business In Sosua promotes the trade in one way or another.

So why is places like mangos open in the capitol? By your definition its pimping and yet its been open for years. It isnt pimping. The definition is the same everywhere
Occam's Razor.

When Santo Domingo is boycotted by travel agents and overrun by weekend warriors bringing their Pimp Daddy Fantasies, there may be additional selective enforcement of places like this "Mangos".

at close to 4 million people I highly doubt that weekend warriors will ever come close to overrunning the Capital

No, but some locals could complain.

I do understand the monger crowd would be quite distressed over recent events to clean up Sosua.

I just hope they rented, and haven't bought. There is already a flooded real estate market.
