That video from Ahnvee is ancient compared to recent events on Pedro Clisante. Something about some Super Bowl party.

Hard to say if the situation on the east end of Pedro Clisante will be low profile enough to be allowed to remain. The government wants prostitution to be out of sight and out of mind.
If not congregating on the streets and staying inside the confines of properties is enough to satisfy the government in a month or two than maybe the east end will be allowed to become the red light district.

As we all know, the Internet certainly has changed the definition of how profiles are measured. The more videos, the more detailed and gynecological they get, the more chance the government will act again. Whore mongers being discreet seems to be a thing of the past, so let's see what happens next.

Comments from whore mongers about nothing has changed except the location made me chuckle again this morning. I can assure you the west end of Pedro Clisante changed and the folks who live near Ahnvee are simply overjoyed at the changes there with the new night life. They are even posting over the joy they have received with the moto conchos zipping around their homes. Who would not love that?

The future of Sosua could include the current red light district. Time will tell.

You do know that most men in Sosua are discreet...especially the expat and Dominican men.

I have no direct knowledge of this, but I will take your word for it. I have no reason to doubt what you say is true. Those men, Dominican and expats, were not the reason for what recently happened.

Videos, even like that old one from Ahnvee, could cause yet more changes depending upon how detailed they get.

Correct...but they are the ones who will be affected as the blowhards will just move on leaving a burning hull.

Its a vibe I get from this forum its mostly miserable expats that spit sterotypes. I see words like savage, animals, and primitive, backwards when they describe Dominicans than they use thugs, deadbeats, broke, wannabe ballers to describe black people. Soon as I say anything about a certain group of people in a negative way I get a damn infraction.

Go to YouTube and look at the videos. Start with old (and Caucasian) Sosua Dave who got his justice, two years in prison in Costa Rica, after being run out of Sosua but moving his mongering to CR, now it's changed to the Miko Worldwide and Taylor Made Dreams, et al. The way they talk and belittle women (yes most are Spandex wearing street-walkers), but they still treat them as if they are stupid trash and lower them even further. Don't be fooled by their offer to collect funds to help children.

And none of this would not raise eyebrows if they did not exhibit their actions in public without regard for any child or family or school nearby (yes there is an elementary school just half a block from where Miko last exposed women).

Like I said it's the guys who want to flaunt deviant behavior and act like and claim they are actually the ones in 'control' of Sosua we label thugs, maybe we should just call them childish wannabes. And the girls they drag with them are belittling themselves for a few pesos they waive at them. People on this forum called out Sosua Dave years ago, now it's the same thing just different video mongers. They are truly Ugly Americans - and they come in all flavors.

Like I have said before, prostitution is fine, if done with discretion - but that is something that is lost with the public displays in Sosua - zero discretion

I believe if one is not a certain shade, the assumption is that you are a thug or tigere...
If you are a dominican woman, the assumption is that you wear spandex and sell your body...

This is beginning to be the mindset on this forum...
Am I wrong?

If it is the vibrator you use, it is the vibe you will receive.

When it become difficult for single Dominicans to be in Sosua, it becomes much more of a problem.

In case you did not receive the memo within 229 pages (and 2200+ postings), it is DOMINICANS who wanted/want/and will receive the changes to Sosua. You are attempting to tug on heart strings that do not exist. Not surprising.

No it's coming from decent Dominicans (who lost their city) and business investors who are tired of the dirty sex show on the streets.

They are not trying to clean the streets and build new sidewalks for mongers to sit on plastic chairs on that new sidewalk, while some hooker twerks in his lap for the price of a couple of Presidentes and a pica pollo dinner.

Now the sidewalk is usable and some new remodeling is going on and Kings Restaurant /Sports bar will be one of the first to open after this clean-the-streets movement. Others will follow as long as they are sure their businesses won't be clogged by the YouTube side-shows again.

I had my girlfriend taken to jail because she was walking to my place at 1 am from the restaurant. I had to go pick her up, we were treated like Prostitute/client...we have been together for over 10 years. This was not the first time. I suppose this does not bother you but it does me. Jesus.

Walking those streets, you should use some caution.

They were 2 and they were coming home from work. We have come to an interesting time, where Dominican women cannot walk at night as they will be looked at as prostitutes. These investors much have really lined the correct pockets where they control the civil liberties of citizens. I have told her it is time to move out of Sosua and back to La Union where she is safe.

I can agree on that . They should not post videos with woman twerking on sidewalk in public areas.5

Profiling is alive and well in the DR. If prostitution was not so obvious and in your face in Sosua, there would be little incentive to hassle women walking down the street at 1 am. However, the masses of working girls plying their trade on the main drag of this town has not yet dropped to an acceptable level apparently.

I would assume this exact situation is one of the reasons that resident locals wish to clean up the streets - so they can walk about town without having to justify their presence to the authorities who at least for now, assume that anyone meandering on Pedro Clisante is either looking for or providing that which is causing the concern.

Another reason to consider staying home after dark if going out isn't absolutely necessary, at least for the time being - if you are not there, you can't be hassled.

Didn't Trump say "When America sends its people to Sosua, we’re not sending our best"? Or was it something about Mexicans coming to America, I forget.
